2008 Recruiting List

Oregonlive.com lists these four players as Montana recruits. Scouts does not. However, I put some faith in Oregonlive as it was very accurate last year. The four listed look like VERY solid recruits. Hope BH can get them.

Interesting to see Grants Pass. That is where former Griz QB Kelly Richardson was from. I wonder if we have had any other Griz from GP.

Kelly Richardson......now there is a name out of the archives! I remember him being pretty damn good too!

He was OK. I wouldn't say damn good, but he was a competitor, and he did have damn good taste in women, dating one of the lovely Anderson girls from Libby, MT. That in and of itself raises him a few notches in my book. :thumb:
 
Isn't it a matter of fine women being able to select QBs? Pretty much all of the QBs I have seen don't have any problems getting any women they want.

Yeah. Is there a quota? I'd take Steve Smith, Santana Moss, Wes Welker, Brandon Stokely, Santonio Holmes, and Reggie Wayne all on my team.

Not to mention Troxel has been kind of a disappointment. I'd also take Heidelberger, Segars, and Hancock back. That was a good trio.

What are your thoughts on Brandon Boltz from Butte High? I thought he was the best reciever in the state last year. Got doubled/tripled teamed all year, and still caught close to 900 yards. Broke numerous Butte High records!! He's about 6'5 220 pounds.

What are your thoughts on Brandon Boltz from Butte High? I thought he was the best reciever in the state last year. Got doubled/tripled teamed all year, and still caught close to 900 yards. Broke numerous Butte High records!! He's about 6'5 220 pounds.

Is he fast? A guy like that with some speed could be a good recruit for the Griz.

Has some good speed, nothing spectacular, close to a Ryan Bagley type speed, but he can position his body well, and can also jump out of the gym. If you have a chance, go watch Butte High play basketball, and see what he can do!!!

I'd say if they can throw a few more pounds on him, they've got one hell of a TE/Slot receiver

I think Boltz and Conway will both become Griz. Boltz may have some academic issues, I know he has missed basketball games in the past because of grades, but sounds like he is just getting by now.

Boltz and Conway have both been on official visits, and were on the sidelines at Naranche with the Griz when they had their walk thru prior to Griz cat there. I have seen them both sporting Bear Wear also.
 
I see on the bottom of that list a JuCo:

Emmanuel Burrell 6-1/190/4.5 interested in Cal, Montana, Utah St.

Doing some google searches it looks like he runs track too.

It appears that he was at New Mexico for a year. He probably knows Vandenberg.
