The UM-EWU game has been the hottest ticket between the two schools over the past few years. Tickets for this game have typically been sold out weeks or, in some cases, a month in advance. In order to ensure that EWU can provide the best customer service possible to its season ticket holders and donors, the following restrictions have been placed on this game:

UM at EWU Single Game Ticket Restrictions (prior to Monday, Sept. 3, 2012)

In order to purchase UM-EWU football single game tickets, patrons must either be current EAA members (at the appropriate giving level) and/or purchase season tickets.

Public Sale (10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012)

All remaining UM-EWU football single game tickets will be made available to the general public through TicketsWest, online, EWU athletic ticket office and other locations.

So... you can buy an endzone season ticket right now... or wait till September and save $5-10 :? (assuming you can get one)

And before an EWU fan comes in here with some smartass remark.. last time I bought season tickets for the game, I mailed the rest of the tickets back with a note to give them to some kids. Hopefully they did it

Last time I did the family pack, looks like they caught wise to that one though. So maybe just two endzone tickets this time. If an EWU fan wants to PM about acquiring the rest dirt-cheap, let me know...

Looks like we'll need to charge EWU about $75 a seat when they visit WA Griz in 2013. $55 a ticket is insane when you consider how little they sell season tickets for....excluding our game.

Also, aren't UM's tickets for homecoming $60+/ticket?

EWU isn't the only school gouging UM fans. UM is doing it as well.

To watch the greatest show in Montana, 60 bucks isnt bad... 8-)

Yeah... except we don't sell season tickets for $65 dollars and then jack up a single game specifically to gouge the visitors

Eastern should allow visitors to come to the games for free considering the price of surgery for our eyes after the game!

First, the price for the Montana game tics is the same for everyone but those people who belong to the Eagle Athletic Association (and they pay a significant donation for that) so your suggestion that the price is higher for visitors is erroneous. Second, where have you been? The season tickets have been on sale since mid-April... Of course if you don't want to come on over, you can watch the telecast of the game and just about any other away game that your team plays so I'm thinking other fan bases aren't real sympathetic to your complaints. If you come, great; if not, that's ok too. Either way, bitching about the ticket prices when your stadium revenue for one game exceeds what ours can make for nearly the entire season simply by virtue of the disparity in size seems a bit ungracious.

I don't like having to pay premium prices to come to UM or, worse yet, this season having to pay to go to Moscow, Idaho but that's what we fans do because there's little choice. So buck up! BTW we were wondering when the bi-annual complaint fest would start up, but if you're just now getting your renewal notices I guess that explains it.

Right... except the average EWU fan has (or should get) season tickets, therefore you really aren't paying that much unless you're an idiot

And I don't know where "I've been", that's the email EWU sent me today

Personally, I think every UM fan should buy season tickets and then leave your stadium with several thousand empty seats in every other game, but that's just me

In fact why don't I just break it down

What EWU fans are paying for their games with season tickets:

Game 1: $12-18
Game 2: $12-18
Game 3: $12-18
Game 4: $12-18
Game 5: $12-18

What a Griz fan is paying
Game 1: $50-55

I mean I can't fault your AD; clearly they came up with a clever way to get our money, which we're willing to pay since that's what we're used to shelling out for our other games.

It's not the size of the STADIUM that causes the issue. It's the size of the CROWD. Go ahead and build a 25,000 seat stadium if you think that'll solve all your money problems.
