Thanks for the latest; still don't see a Caleb Harris listed. Is he a walk-on and then not on the roster until classes start?

Which is interesting considering this: http://www.bozemandailychronicle.com/ap ... -scrimmage
It sounds like DeNarius has extremely high expectations for himself and the offense this season. Good, isn't good enough.

Hopefully he's not the only one who learned that.IntuitiveGriz wrote:Sounds like from the news interview that he is finally learning that repsect is earned on the field, and not from the bozo media that proclaims them gods, which obviously are false beliefs.
Ignoring the irony of this statement, McGhee has always given great respect to opponents, and has never felt entitled to anything. If fact, he had a quote last fall camp that he was hoping to win the starting job over Grayson Galloway and Jake Bleskin.

IntuitiveGriz wrote:I just wish the TV media in Bozeman would learn that. You would think the Bobcats are the greatest thing since oxegan, And moreover, they are constantly belittling the Griz, that's if they mention them at all that is. Talk about unprofessional and pitiful organizations...

"Hopefully he's not the only one who learned that."By they way, I like DM.

*edited for clarification on what type of media

i know this is a cat player here but give me a break. he's one of the most humble people you will meet. sure, i bet some cat fans might think he's a "god". most of us just think he's pretty damn good. give your own team some credit. you didn't come to bozeman and smash us 'cause DM sucks and doesn't know he needs to earn respect. you did it 'cause you had a great game plan, your defense dominated, and DM and our offense sputtered. cat griz and all but geeze, be realistic and give your team their due.....

Isn't the Missoula tv media equally biased towards UM? If not, they sure used to be. Part of living in those markets, I guess.

That's the thing though, Butte isn't Bozeman (market schmarket), or even a MSU town. It is seperate. We are just in the unfortuanate position of losing our own news station so we have to pick up two Bozeman biased feeds (CBS and NBC), and one from Great Falls I believe (ABC). The ABC feed does a much better job of covering the Griz, even though one of the sports guy was born and raised in Bozeman (Tom Wylie). I watch all 3 sports broadcasts every night. The Great Falls (ABC) broadcast is the only news I can regularly count on for fair, accurate coverage of the Griz. And Great Falls hosts the Cat spring scrimmage every year even!
If anything Butte is a UM town, ever since the mid-80's when all of the FCS players from Butte started going to UM (except the recent OL Dennehy), and the current Head Griz coach is even from Butte. The Griz recently have a lot to do with putting another Butte boy in the NFL (Colt Anderson).
Sure there are Cat fans in Butte, in fact there were Butte players on your national championship a long time ago. I am not saying I don't like getting the Bobcat coverage, because I do. I am a college football fantatic, and I support players from the state, wherever they are. And I ilke the Bozeman sports directors and reporters. BUT, I expect some good fair coverage of the Griz as well. In fact the Bozeman CBS channel motto says "fair, accurate, to the point", which is laughable. It should read, "un-fair, in-accurate". However they do a little better job of covering UM than the Bozeman NBC channel does. In fact the Bozeman NBC channel sports director says, "Hate them or Love them" referring to the Griz, and it's chrystal clear which option he subscribes to; hate.
Occassionally (albiet seldom), for whatever reason, the Bozeman NBC news will come out of Missoula NBC...and that's when I can compare the two "markets"...I honestly believe the Missoula sports directors and reporters do a better/more fair job of covering the cats than the other way around. They don't have a negative/depressed tone in their voice when they cover the Cats, nor do they purposely say in-corect things to paint a negative picture of the other team across the divide...which I sense when I listen to the Bozeman contingent when they once in a blue moon "cover"/mention UM.
That's two-cents, but it's held by a lot of people in Butte/Southwest Montana.
