EWU vs CATS Showdown

The game being played at EWU, who wins this BSC tilt and why? Score? My prediction Adams 2 rush TD's and 2 pass TD's, McGee 2 pass TD's and both Kirk and Johnson 1 rush TD. The rest will be played on the field!

Can ewu hold down msu's running game and can msu hold down ewu's passing attack? Time will tell.

Last year the Cats rushed 52 times for 70 yards against EWU. They'll have Kirk of course this year (he didn't play last year), but I'm betting they'll need a huge game from McGhee to pull off the upset.

EWU will shred their secondary this year unlike last year.

I didn't see any of the EWU/Idaho State game, but I did see quite a bit of MSU and UNC...and it seemed like both EWU and MSU were not as sharp as they can be. With a couple of potent offenses, you'd think Saturday's game would be a shoot out...so I'm going to go with an opposite type game and predict MSU 17 - EWU 16.*

* I'm about the worst prognosticator out there, which is part of why I never predict Griz games (the other part being plain old silly superstition,) but I just have a feeling that it's going to be more of a defensive battle.

No clue who wins. Clearly the two best teams in the Big Sky. Think MSU's defense is the better D in this game, but Adams is good enough to make good defenses look bad. So Is DM, who seems to be the healthiest he's been all season. I'm gonna say the final margin is no more than seven either way.

yesterday I agree. we have played 3 big sky games on the road. in those games we are 3-0. beat und by 43. beat weber by 18. and snuck one out yesterday by 7.

should be a hell of a game

From what I've seen, the Cats struggle with a good passing attack...especially with short routes, quick slants, screens. This seems to be Adams' bread and butter (at least against us) so I think Adams will shred their defense. I think that DM will have a good game and be able to move the ball on their weak defense too. I think it will be a bit of a shoot out but that EWU comes out in the end by two scores. The Cats haven't looked very good on the road at least against Weber and UNC....teams they should have beat more convincingly.

should be a hell of a game

and lost to a mediocre SFA.

Cats have also played a road schedule of powder puff teams...not a quality team in the bunch.

The pass attack from ewu will eat up the cats D. The ground game that the cats will likely bring won't hold much water.
Ewu 44
cats 28

Hmm, Didn't SFA just play SHSU 56-49. and had more first downs, plus put up 740 yards of offense? And they do have the #2 QB as far as passing yards. They are not that bad.

don't disagree. but a loss a month and a half ago doesn't worry me in regards to ewu. and while the teams we played on the road certainly aren't great, I was just disagreeing that we haven't looked good on the road. we beat one team by 40 and another by 18.

You mean SFA, the last place team in the Southland with a loss to Weber and Prairie View. A 3 win team with victories over MSU, Nicholls St and something call McMurray.

None of that changes the fact that they're 3-6.

I think relative to the best teams in the FCS, SFA is pretty bad. But having said that, I sure as hell am happy the Griz don't have to play that team. The Jacks could throw for 700 yards in a game against Montana, and I'm not even being sarcastic.

ILTC, if the game were in Bozeman, I would probably lean the other way. I just do not think MSU will win at EWU.
