I'd say number 7 is pretty good since the Griz have beaten nobody ranked in the top 50+.

The Griz have beaten a Central Washington (D2), South Dakota, North Dakota, Northern Colorado, and UC Davis.

The only thing giving the Griz some clout is close loses to Wyoming (FBS) and North Dakota State (#1 FCS).

The tough stretch of the Griz conference schedule is now upon them...at Cal Poly (3-0), Sac State (1-3), at Eastern Washington (4-0), at Southern Utah (1-3), Montana State (4-0).

BSC Championship is on the line...National Championship playoff seeding is on the line...GO GRIZ

Northern Iowa? Seriously?
Carried by the conference reputation. Gotta be.

Yes, at this point in the season, 'reputation' is the only way a team with a losing record would garner ANY top 25 votes. No Iowa is riding the MVFC mystique coat tails.

Reputation is also how the 5-2 Grizzlies are sitting in the top ten. That is why I never put much credence into the polls until the final two weeks when they do have some impact on playoff seeding. For Montana the next few weeks will show us all if they belong in the playoffs. I doubt we run through these games unscathed but believe the team will continue to improve each week and still be in the mix at the end. Go Griz.

Kind of surprised that Idaho State only has 3 points in this poll. I know that haven't knocked off a juggernaut yet, but you'd think they would be a little closer to the top 40 than they are. I'm sure this will probably change if they keep playing tough. Putting up a lot of offense and their only losses are to the #2 team and 2 FBS teams.
