And he came in with a losing record 39-52-1. Just imagine the chatter on boobcatnation when we hired Don Read, had there been such a thing back then. The rest is all sweet history!!

I think there may be a lot more of those 52-24 type games with this offense. Any complaints if the defense gets tired because it's on the field more?
 
Read, of course, had been HC at Oregon prior to his second stint at PSU. Glenn had coached 6 years in the BSC and won two NCs at UNC so knew something about winning playoff games. Read pretty much had to start from scratch while Dennehy left a pretty well stocked cupboard for Glenn.
