Without blue and gold glasses, only one word can describe this team. Overrated. In every aspect: offense, coaching, and defense. Harsh reality is this is a middle of the road Big Sky team at best. That likely won't change anytime soon.

at least some our fanbase is in touch with reality. That seems to be a concept that's lost on Griz and Eastern fans

The victory snaps a two-game losing streak for NAU after a 2-0 start. The Lumberjacks fell 77-13 in Tucson to Arizona two weeks ago before falling 23-14 to Montana last weekend in Missoula. Against the Griz, NAU mustered just 19 first-half yards. On Saturday, Northern Arizona rolled up 317 yards before halftime and 506 overall as true freshman quarterback Case Cookus threw for 244 yards and four touchdowns and senior running back Casey Jahn rushed for 175 yards and two scores.

whoa, this is weird. not often my threads are bumped for smack talk. well i'll chime in...although i know some hate facts. i posted that right after the eastern washington game. they beat us and like clockwork people said we never win the "big game". i said the NEXT week was a "big game" (cal poly) and when we win i'll bump the thread. we won. i bumped the thread....

this is so weird. :?

Are you a man?!?!?! And forty!?!?!

From kittie nation regarding how to fix their defense:

[bWe are not touching anyone's QB - hell, a Mormon boy at a chaperoned dance touches a girl more than we manage to touch a QB. [/b]

I said in the fall camp that the cats defense had more holes than a sieve. Now people are seeing for themselves, and they are seeing that I was being kind, because those holes are hemorrhaging...

This is a funny one also...

griz are a 2 loss team . . . just like the Cats....

Ya and their 2 wins were over a D2 team and Cal-Poly

The Cats have definite offensive firepower potential but it's not multi-dimensional. Stop Prukop running and they won't do much. Seems like every series is kept alive by a QB run. Griz linebackers will feast on that. And the Cat defense? Possibly worse than anybody with the exception of ISU.

What's the point of the 'this isn't the NFL' comment? Is coach ron ash trying to say he'd like to waive his defense, but can't?

It's hilarious. By making this statement, he is necessarily doing exactly what the rest of the statement says he never does (but that we've all seen him do countless times). I'm convinced he just doesn't have a fully functional brain. The fact that he has this job should outrage all taxpayers in Montana.
