Nebraska WR transferring to Montana

Lane Hovey a 6'4 210 pound receiver is transferring to Montana for the 2016 season. Kind of sad to see him go. You are getting a big fast kid who is very good at blocking at the perimeter. Lane will be a great 1 year member on the team and ill enjoy watching him excel in the FCS.

This is a great pick up and will allow guys like Akem and Nagler to redshirt! Big physical WR who should fill the Ben Roberts role in this offense. :thumb:

high on athleticism and even a higher guy in character from what I have been told,,,,,a great get for the griz !

Impressive student! Welcome to Griz Nation, Lane! :clap: :thumb: :D

Impossible. No one ever comes to UM for academics! We don't offer any degrees that are worthwhile anymore. :roll:

What do you have to do to get the Tom Osborne citizenship award, hide a teammates gun that he used while committing a felony?

Hovey, who carries a 4.0 grade-point average in business administration, had no scholarship offers out of high school, just some nonscholarship possibilities in NCAA Division III back in Iowa. He was a Class 3A first-team all-state player at Adel-Desota-Minburn High School near Des Moines.

=======================================================================================

Was a distance runner in HS: 800, 1600, 3200

He's a big-target, good pickup. I like his heart, making his own tape and sending it to a couple FBS teams.
