Took 1st in the Oklahoma High School 110M hurdles with a time of 14.47. Congrats to him!
Looking forward to seeing him on the field!
Since we always like to talk about "how fast", I tried to research times. It appears for Broken Arrow's class, 4A the fastest times in the 110H was 13.8 and 14.08 set in 72 and 78

Didn't Tyrone Holms also win the 110 High hurdles in Oregon??? Now he is in the NFL!

Gotta admit. For FCS Montana is a pretty fair route to the next level. Somewhere there is stats but we have to be right up there in the last 10 years or so.

Rumor is he may be the only freshman who could play right away and not red shirt. We will have to see come fall. I bet all freshman redshirt though.

And please change the title As to not make me nervous when I first saw it that he was not coming to Missoula.

Did he run the hurdles "in space", if he did he might be "the best in...."

No chance here. Hurdles run in very confined space. He'll be best in defined space, going away.

Kid is a great athlete, everyone can see that. Gonna be a star.

Montana hasn't had their 2016 state championships yet, so I compared Samuel's 2016 state championship time with 2015 Montana state championship times:

AA...14.45
A....14.99
B....15.60
C....15.00

Samuel's 2016 time of 14.47 would have won three out of four 2015 state meets in Montana.

And he's 6' 6".......dude is an animal.

HUDL has him at 6'4, but does it matter when he can do this:

Ok good catch....I saw 6'6" somewhere. I think he's going to be a special one, he blocks insanely well for a receiver. His pals will be thanking him a lot on the sideline when he springs them for big gains. I think Sammy is going to be special....

Ya but most of the time those Montana times are in snow or sleet :thumb:

He ran into a headwind or his time would have been 14 flat or lower. Good old Okie wind can impede a big frame like Samuels. All of us will see a super player when he gets going as a Griz.

Almost as nice as Allen TX facilities.....
