Share your most memorable and/or hardest hit you have ever witnessed in WA.GR.

1. Running back Justin Green - I believe it was his senior season - 2004'ish - i can't remember the opponent or other player - Green busted a run outside and took it up the sideline. Around midfield a db thought he could gently push Green out of bounds... Green ran that kid over harder than i have ever seen a rb hit a guy. I think it took 10 minutes for them to get the db off the field.

2. Linebacker Shane MacIntyre - '02 or '03 season - special teams play- i think it was a griz kick-off. MacIntyre with a full head of steam crashed into another player at full speed and both players went down. I think Mac came away with a broken collarbone if i am remembering correctly.

If they made highlight reals for our players like they do now, you could'a had a solo real for all of Thompsons hits. Pound for pound, he's the hardest consistent hitter we may have ever had.
 
KT's hit will go down in history as the best hit at Washington-Griz. Hard to imagine any hit ever beating that one.

I also remember a hit during a Cat/Griz game in the mid 2000s. Cannot remember the players involved or the year, but there was a Cat receiver who got hit hard over the middle between two Griz defenders, causing his helmet to pop straight up.

It was quite a punch though, you had to be there to believe it. Brody was running around the bar yelling "I run this place" pushed some girl aside on the way to the bar and the girl's boyfriend called him out on it and he told him to F*** off and this guy dropped him one punch. His teammates didn't do a thing, shows what they thought of Brody.

yup. and most likely there will never be another one like it. in today's world that hit would be called as a personal foul in no time after all the rule changes.
 
It's gotta be the hit by the kid from Troy in the chipper (McElmurry). It wasn't just a nice hit, it literally had the biggest impact on our program. Changed the tenor of that game (and the following flag by Marshall helped too)

Very impressive considering that hit was against a TE from SDSU who was listed at 6'5" 245lbs.

Keith Thompson will forever live on as the hardest hitter DB in GRIZ history. It would be nice to have a DB hitter like him every season. Which GRIZ planted the EWU qb into GRIZ turf in 2015? That was the hardest hit of a qb I've ever seen live.
 
The hardest hit I witnesses was Washington State 1995, the Griz had a RB from Great Falls High that also was a kick returner. As he caught a kick off a WSU gunner launched and crowned him helmet to helmet. That was the only call that went for the Griz all day. The RB was instantly knocked out and the refs gave possession to the Griz. Think it made ESPN hit of the day. It was violent live and nasty in slow-mo.
