So our one really bad APR (NCAA Academic Progress Rate) year (2011-12) for football just dropped off the 4 year average and the football team average jumped from 937 last year (2014-15) to a 954 this year. However I am sure this will never see the light of day at the Missoulian.

APR Average for Big Sky Football Teams for the 2015-16 Academic Year

Northern Arizona University AZ 940
University of North Dakota ND 940
California State University, Sacramento CA 944
University of Northern Colorado CO 944
Weber State University UT 944
Southern Utah University UT 945
Portland State University OR 952
University of Montana MT 954
Eastern Washington University WA 955
California Polytechnic State University CA 961
Montana State University-Bozeman MT 962
Idaho State University ID 965
University of California, Davis CA 981

And the average for all the sports at U of M

Softball 1000
Women's Cross Country 1000
Women's Tennis 1000
Women's Golf 991
Women's Track 986
Men's Cross Country 983
Men's Tennis 983
Women's Basketball 983
Women's Soccer 981
Women's Volleyball 968
Men's Basketball 965
Men's Track 957
Football 954

12 of 13 sports over 954 but "average" is 954...how does that happen? Seems the average should be higher. Realize football the largest batch of students but still confusing.

I am not sure, but I think it is a 3 or 5 year running average?

Edited original to add the 954 is football team average.

What are UM football's APR scores per single year (not 4-year average), for recent years?

Per the NCAA APR website our annual APR for the football team has been as follows;

2015-16 948
2014-15 937
2013-14 972
2012-13 957
2011-12 887
2010-11 948
2009-10 950
2008-09 936

Prior to 08-09 the website only shows the 4 year average
