Where Are They Now?

I have always been curious about the whereabouts, occupations, and just life in general for our ex-football players. We rarely hear much about these guys after they graduate. I am quite sure that many posters know about some of these players, or are even friends with them. I think it would be cool to hear about where some of these guys ended up after their Griz days, and where life has taken them. Of course, I understand that some may not want to have their private info made public, but if any of you are buddies with ex-players, and check with them first to get their OK to post about them, please do so.

I remember a Missoulian journalist writing a series of editorials about some ex-Griz athletes some years ago. Just nice to keep up with the guys we followed back in their playing days.

Living life as a Griz football player, even from relatively long ago, would not have been easy. Constantly watched, criticized, local and state newspapers and TV exploring your performance on and off the field, jock sniffers, and now internet aided groupies who know more about your life than anyone but you or your parents, etc. Used to be just watched, then watched closely, then under a magnifying glass, followed my microscope, all quite public. Student code of conduct, 'team rules,' whatever. Once their final season was over, who could blame any of them if they shot a finger high into the air and said, "____ ___! Leave me alone. This is MY life."
May work out for those who 's career requires occasional to frequent publicity. But, your average guy juggling the demands of a career, wife, and kids might not be inclined to let the spotlight fall on him. Then, there are those who didn't have a happy outcome. Whole new game. Would any of YOU welcome the publicity? Individual choice.

Don't know on Yo. Talmadge was in law enforcement in CA, I believe.

Jonny Varona and spouse are both firemen in Maui country. Molokai and Lanai. Ciche Pitcher running family ski area, Discovery.

Yo's brother was my boss. He now owns a very successful mortgage business. I'll try asking about Yo.
 
Mcsurdy is Asheville NC ...personal trainer,training young athletes,runs a training program at local gym, playing drums better than he played football!He and his older brother put together an album it's featured on SoundCloud titled Sons of the House if you want to check it out

Along the personal trainer line, Pfaler, of course, runs a nice gym in MSO. Anyone know what his TE Counterpart, Beaudin, does now?

He is/was a teacher at Lowell Elementary in Missoula.
