This looks like a very good pick up for the Griz....plus I think he will only be a sophomore :D

Solid all around numbers, very efficient.

Yes!! Good pickup, especially since he'll be a sophomore. Here's a nice profile in the San Jose Mercury News from January: http://www.mercurynews.com/ci_24873700/diablo-valley-colleges-jermaine-edmonds-jr-is-still" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And... Verbal Commits has the news already, with a video clip from two years ago, while he played for Salesian. What's cool about the video are the flashes of Mario Dunn knocking the ball loose & feeding Edmonds. Sounds like he's an intense defensive player w/good balance. Welcome to the Griz, Mr. Edmonds!

You read my mind, I just asked on the other thread "How is his defense?" I wish I had read this thread 1st. I like this pick up. Looks like a true SG to me with good size. Can anyone influence a good 6'8" plus post player to commit this year? Please God.

Same high school as Mario Dunn.

Also same JC that sent us in:

1995 Brent Smith
2000 Dan Trammel
2001 Victor Venters

Trammel was undersized (6'6") post player, but he could jump out of the gym. Remember that slam dunk he had to win the cat game in the closing seconds?!

Was he the one who did the standing back flips or whatever? Great stuff

Yup. In the Big Sky Conference Championship game when Holst(?) I think was still coaching. Won the game on a tip / put-back slam. Buzzer sounded, backflips ensued. In Blowzeman as well, if I'm recalling correctly.

You got it MissoulaMarinerFan! He went up and grabbed that rebound above the rim high in the air and slammed it home on his way back down to earth for the winning bucket. My favorite Griz BB play of all time. :shock:
