I'm assuming that a Gavin DeJong, 6' 6" - Manhattan, is still considered a "recruited walk-on?"

Updated... Dont know about Gavin DeJong?

Just going by what I've heard. Since the coaching change I haven't heard much of anything, if anything at all. But it was reported 23 April 2014 - http://missoulian.com/sports/college/montana/mens-basketball/manhattan-product-dejong-commits-to-montana-in-men-s-hoops/article_ce3e8f96-cb49-11e3-a6c1-0019bb2963f4.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ...and later 02 May 2014 - http://www.belgrade-news.com/sports/article_7a4fa3ac-d170-11e3-912f-001a4bcf887a.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ...as well. But since it was announced around 19/20 May 2014 that Wayne Tinkle was to be the next Head Coach at Oregon State I don't know. Just wondering.

I am impressed with the quality of players the GRIZ are going after. I just cannot figure out for the life of me why we cannot find and offer more good sized (6'8" plus) post players? Wayne found and offered so few. So far it looks like DeCuire is have the same problem.
I sure hope to see some bigs offered soon.

Then again, maybe he is relying on the JC ranks, which is a little hard to find recruiting information online.

I am impressed by the quality of the recruits offered. However, I am far more interested in who actually commits to the Griz.

A lot of competition for him.
Where are offers to post players though?

Yeah, unfortunately probably a miracle if we get this kid.

I sure wish the BSC was on the level with the WCC. We'd get these kind of kids easy.

Ok, GrizRule: Here he is.

It is about time. I see he was just added today 08/05/14. A lot of competition for him as well. I like our chances for him so far. I hope the CA pipeline proves to be very strong to get this kid. :thumb:

Interest only, no offer. Hit a crazy over the shoulder shot to send a state tournament game into overtime.

Per his Twitter account, Stefan Gonzalez will be visiting this weekend. Good chances of landing him. He plays AAU ball with Tres and Samuelson. Check it out.

Good news about Stefan Gonzalez!

Also noticed that Paris Austin -- in a published interview over at http://ny2lasports.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; -- said he would be making a recruiting trip to Montana next weekend (Sept 11-12).

Thanks for the twitter link, rule. Noticed in the link that Jarriesse Blackmon of Layton, Utah will also visit Missoula this weekend.
