I happen to know Thatcher, and I assure you that you are wrong. Go back to sleep, CheeseWhiz.
No, I am not. You may wanna ask your good buddy next time you follow him around.
Even if he did play a down, which he did not, he did not make it in the NFL. The NFL does not give out participation trophies.

Hm... two people who say they know Thatcher. I don't know who to believe! Someone help me out here...
One is a good poster who is respectful, believable, and has no reason to lie, and is correct that Thatcher did in fact play.
The other poster is an ass picking waste of carbon with severe mental problems who frequently starts bullshit rumors, lies about who he knows and thinks he's the most important, richest person ever to grace eGriz with their presence.
Shit.... this is a tough one![]()
Oh... and here's an image of Thatcher not playing a down.![]()

you know how hard dudes work to be college athletes? you know...for the griz? or cats? or anywhere else? they bust their asses. and i don't care if they are four year starters or if they worked day and night to simply wear a jersey on the sidelines.....they are college athletes. and i don't care if they played for um which no one knows about....or the university of alabama.....they still worked their asses off to even have the opportunity to wear a jersey and suit up on saturdays. the same goes for dudes that sniff the nfl. are you effing kidding me?! tens of thousands of guys play college football, and a few hundred get an opportunity to play at the next level. the second you receive a call from an nfl franchise, and you wear their jersey against other nfl competition....you are IN the nfl. some are better than others. some have longer careers. but all are in a fraternity untouched by 99% of the population. cat...griz....anyone else....i don't give a shit. you make it that far, you have my respect.
my guess is that if this was your son....and he got a "participation trophy" for making an nfl squad...you wouldn't be talking this way to your buddies. you'd be proud and say your son was an nfl player. and you'd be right. maybe only for a few weeks because these guys are really good....but still a player.
please open your eyes, and talk about these people like you would your own son or daughter.
what a joke.

You never specified pre-season or regular season, just that he never played a single down...which of course was incorrect (like 99.9% of the bullshit that spills out of your gob on a daily basis). Your own words Stevie, but nice try weaseling out of them. Unfortunately it didn't work.Growler1 wrote: And, you are correct in your last sentence, which is a real rarity for you.Potomac Griz wrote:The other poster is an ass picking waste of carbon with severe mental problems who frequently starts bullshit rumors, lies about who he knows and thinks he's the most important, richest person ever to grace eGriz with their presence.
Hm...my last sentence about you was correct? Well I'm glad you admit that you are a waste of carbon with severe mental problems who lies constantly

Growler1...I'm not from Montana and I have no idea who you are. The more I read your posts the more tired I get of the ego driven rants where you continually speak as an ultimate athority with little credibility or limited knowledge to back it up. I seldom post and really don't get involved in this type of stuff. If your goal is to irritate people like me and cause them to post, well I guess you succeeded. You may have accomplished that goal but in the process you've pretty well established a pathetic image for yourself.

nope. spoken like a normal person who actually has class. and children. and if any of them were to be so successful to dabble in the nfl, i would proudly tell friends and family that he made it to the nfl. the difference....is i wouldn't lie about his abilities, make up countless accomplishments, or claim to have inside information of the team that gave him a shot.
i haven't seen one poster claim this kid was all pro or anything. but to say he wasn't in the nfl is plain stupid....and a lie. which you're very familiar with....
carry on.

Very good posts, ilcats. You are absolutely right on all points. While typical of G1, the bad-mouthing of Szalay is particularly irritating, and then he claims he knows Thatcher. G1 has been caught lying on things like this multiple times. I know Griz Nation is proud of what Szalay did in the NFL, and I assume Thatcher is too.
