Given all the BS occuring within the men's basketball team, fighting, dui, etc, someone has the opportunity to step up and be a leader on this team and let it be known this behaviour is unacceptable. Kareem?

What became of the charges against Deshields and Weisner? Anything? :?mtgrizrule said:Grizbacker1 said:Given all the BS occuring within the men's basketball team, fighting, dui, etc, someone has the opportunity to step up and be a leader on this team and let it be known this behaviour is unacceptable. By process of elimination, the choices are pretty slim. Kareem and Gregory are no brainers for next season. As a player, I am high on Kareem. As a leader, Gregory is the man. I hope Kemp is a good leader. From what I hear, Dunn is a natural leader too. Martin and Wiley are solid players , and even better off the court. I look forward to see how Martin and Wiley develop over the next few years. I like their upside, on and off the court.
Martin does not strike me as someone ready to lead now. Potentially, I can see him be more of a leader by example, and when he is a SR, be comfortable being a vocal leader too. Wiley looks like he is going to be a stud in the BSC, and is one great athlete. Can he elevate his game that much this season? I sure would love to see that. Athletically, he belonged on the court against Syracuse.
For this year, give Gregory the green light to chew ass!! Sorry, but I absolutely love the way he plays basketball, and his demeanor. His attitude and toughness have to be contagious.
I wonder what kind of punishment Deshields, Weisner (sp?), Henderson, and Coleman will have in the off season, or what will carry into the season? The % in trouble this season is way more than the football team, being Cherry was still on the team when he had his run in. To make numbers easy, 5 of 15 have been in trouble this season . If that were football, with 75 players that would be 25 players.
I pray for no more troubles. It is hard to believe these things are happening under this staff. Wayne does not take these kind of things lightly.

In addition to being as smart as h***, Jordan has a real strong set of opinions on athlete behaviors, and he doesn't mind expressing them. He's not passive. He'll let you know what he thinks, and if he isn't saying it, he has "a look."mtgrizrule said:Grizbacker1 said:Given all the BS occuring within the men's basketball team, fighting, dui, etc, someone has the opportunity to step up and be a leader on this team and let it be known this behaviour is unacceptable.
