Once again the 13-5 Griz find themselves needing a sweep of the 14-3 Weber State Wildcats to host the tourney. Only this year they have to do it on the road. Last year in Missoula the Griz took the first two games but let the third slip away and WSU went on to host and win the tourney earning the conference's auto bid. This years team is a much different team though relying on a league best pitching staff where last years team was all O. An intriguing side matchup will be between the top two candidates for BSC Fr of the Year in Michaela Hood and WSU RF'er Takesha Saltern. Hood is also in the running for Pitcher of the Year and Saltern is in running for league MVP. She leads the league in hits and triples. She's also 2nd in batting average, runs, and stolen bases.

I thought the tourney was in Reno again next year. And isn't it Michael Oguine not Hood who had the good frosh year?
