I knew of at least three of the Lady Griz recruits who were already mentioned in announcements previously < http://www.gogriz.com/news/2017/11/9/womens-basketball-lady-griz-sign-four.aspx ...but there being a fourth recruit surprised me when I first came across the LOI article. Not hearing anything about a Katie Mayhue signing with the UofM LG beforehand, that is, "surprised me:"

She was a team member of the 10-player Adidas USA Select squad that participated in some exhibition games in Italy this past summer: http://www.adidasgirlsbasketball.com/photo_gallery/show/1677079#38 A team that had Joey Simmons as their Head Coach < http://txelitebasketball.com/people/joey-simmons ...that had the #7, #24, #30, #37, #83, etc., top rated players in the nation (rated by Prospect Nation) participating <http://bennyshouse.freeforums.net/thread/4818/mayhue-adidas-usa-select-team

Sounds like she can play the 1, 2 or 3 and seems to be a fairly decent scorer (22.8 ppg after her junior year at Albany, Oregon, a 5A classification) and team player. Hope she has a successful and wonderful career at the UofM.

P.S. - Found a segment of playing time for the USA Select team over in Italy from this past summer. She's wearing #10 with a white headband (primarily from 1:44 to 10:35), beginning with her stealing a pass and running the court for a lay-in, later a trey off the board < http://www.pscp.tv/3Stripewbb/1lPKqyobmyEKb

I heard that a 5'7" Destiny Slocum had recently transferred into Oregon State from Maryland. Slocum started 34 games for Maryland, averaging 11.5 ppg as a true freshman out of Meridan, Idaho; the two time Gatorade POY for Idaho. Maryland had a pretty decent record last year, going 32 - 3, losing only to Connecticut, Ohio St., and Oregon in the NCAA Tournament.

Yes this is true. They were hoping she’d come home to boise, but negative. Probably explains it then.

Looks like Katie Mayhue had one of the Top Ten plays nation wide in sports recently (posted 26 February 2018). It is shown about the 2:00 mark of the following: http://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/katie-mayhue/xkVSOm-YEea-8KA2nzwbTA/default.htm

Also, Carmen Gfeller was named Player of the Week in the State of Washington for her performance with her team winning the 2B State Championship: averaging 25 points a game with 8 rebounds and two assists: http://www.facebook.com/PullmanRadioNews/posts/1023588134461948

My pleasure.

Looks like Katie Mayhue had a pretty decent game 19 January 2018 against Crescent Valley. Scoring 45, though in a losing effort, 64 - 71. That with 8 treys < http://democratherald.com/sports/high-school/basketball/prep-basketball-roundup-mayhue-scores-in-loss-to-cv/article_668b8330-3717-5b01-b9bc-42a12b05ae70.html ...with some highlites contained in the tenth window down (#3 in white jerseys): http://www.hudl.com/profile/9839986/Katie-Mayhue

Also, Carmen Gfeller, having games of 33 and 36 points in the regular season, has been recognized as one of eleven out of the State of Washington to be nominated for the McDonald's All-American Games (last paragraph on following page) < http://www.theolympian.com/sports/high-school/article194307629.html
