In Search of ... the Elite Eight

Well,, like a lot of people last night, we were 50-50. Looks like that could continue tonight. :?

Villanova was supposed to be a near-lock to move on, but WVU has them playing their game and they do not look so red-hot right now (down 52-47). Kansas started out dominating Clemson, but the Tigers have made a run ... so that's not a given either, although the lead is still 13 with less than 6 min to go.

KU wins by 4.
Yep ... not particularly impressive. When you have that big a lead, you can't piss it away like the Jayhawks did. "A win's a win," but they'll need to tighten things up to move on.

Meanwhile, the 'Nova coach made some nice halftime adjustments and you never quite felt like WV could get the lead back, even when they made a run. (48 fouls called in this game.)

Fascinating to watch two teams play zone against each other all the time. Seems like to go totally zone you need players with a lot of "length" -- height and long arms. Duke and Syracuse have the players for it, so it'll be interesting to see who can actually score points. Duke ahead at the half, 34-27.

The T-Tech vs Purdue game is going back and forth. It's hard to tell which way it might go. Purdue up 25-20 with a bit over 3 min in the half.

Is anybody else watching some BBall tonight? Two pretty close games (4 points and 3 points)) going on.

Tech destroys Purdue to move on.... #gunsup #wreckem
Yeah, that game was pretty close -- 3 points apart -- out to about 6 min left in the game. Then Purdue (went cold)/(were shut down) for over 3 min and T-Tech pulled out by 14 points … which is about how it ended.
