And if I'm reading this correct; Josh Vazquez is rated the number #3 in the nation and the #1 in the State of California, and he's but a junior:

I think what's great about DeCuire and his staff is not only do they recruit good players, but they looks at the type of program they come from. Most everyone that has been recruited to the griz under his tenure has been from a top level program. Winning is part of the culture. None of this Jay Cutler crap.

Off subject but every time I see cutler I think of the Hail Mary that landed 20 yards out of bounds on a windless day. I agree great recruiting habits!

I think the maxpreps.com ranking refers to the team Josh played on during last season. It was one of the top teams in the country.

You are correct about the team ranking but I've seen this kid play and he is real good...only knock is his slight build but he is still young...Any player who starts at Bishop Montgomery could start for any team in the BSC...

So allow me to point out the elephant in the room. Will we be able to keep him committed to signing day. What’s the exact date for signing day for the 2019 recruits?

I don't see why that would be a big concern. It's possible that he blows up over the summer and sees some bigger offers but the early signing period is in mid November so I think there's a good chance we hold him until then.

A bigger issue might be him asking out of his LOI in the spring if Decuire takes another job after the season.

That’s too many elephants for one room.

I've never heard of this "verbal", like 99% of us on here, and have no opinion about him and I am also genuinely happy with DeCuire's recruiting abilities, but I'm confused by the Jay Cutler reference. There is no excuse for Cutler's abysmal personality but I don't blame Vanderbilt U or the high school he went to. Also DeCuire has recruited an Australian, a Norwegian,a Serbian as well as Montana and Wyoming natives and someone from North Idaho in the past cpl years that were from the opposite of "top level programs". Not that I think it is important but "most everyone" has certainly not been from a top level program.
