Had high hopes for that kid too. Oh well, I will just use the Bobcat mantra on this one "we didn't want him anyway"
Or, maybe Pflu will do what Ash did with the Homec situation and claim tomorrow that he left the team at some undetermined time earlier this winter? :o

Is the Griz roster up to date right know ? Everyone on it should be considered still on the team, correct ?

Homec was listed on the official kitten roster the day the curb stomping incident came to light,
thanks for agreeing with me on this one! :thumb:

I'm not agreeing. Is Matt Berg, for example, still on the team ?

Wait wait wait guys... I'm sure there MUST be a reasonable explanation for all of this. :coffee:

...not.

Don't you know, the Missoula police are just trying to bring down the UM athletic program,. Ask Greenie, he will enlighten you.

And then there are others who believe its the Missoulian. Sad to think that is such paranoia that people believe that institutions/businesses in Missoula are out to bring down the UM. I'm leaning towards little green men, which as we know are causing those strange sounds in Missoula area as the ones most likely out to get the UM. They are going to end the world before we play our next NC anyway.

Gwen Florio from the Missoulian set the whole thing up............its her agenda and all..........

I hear that many people call her "The Architect"............at least a few of the guys under the Orange street bridge...........naw.......too easy.

I think it's funny that some posters think that pointing out that the Missoulian is writing stories "slanted" against the university, and leaving out important information supportive of the university, is the same as sayng the Missoulian wants to "bring down" the university. There's a huge difference between those two things.

Those posters apparently feel that the Missoulian can do no wrong, and that every action by police or prosecutors is right. I wonder if they also think the IRS and government regulators of business are always right. I wonder if they think people charged with a crime should not be able to hire lawyers or defend themselves, or present their side of the story. I wonder if they oppose the US Constitution generally.

Also interesting is that several of these posters in this thread have been dissing the UM basketball and football teams, as well as individual players like Will Cherry, this season. The phrase faulty thinking comes to mind.

Maybe you can get to work to have the charge dropped, or lessened. Then you can pretend once again that the incident never really happened.

so we get our ninth dui in five years and fourth in the last year and all you guys want to talk about is how it will be dealt with in comparison to msu? where are priorities and concerns? does anyone even care or is everyone numb to it? we have a chronic drinking and driving problem and it doesn't appear anyone wants to deal with it. if you don't think its chronic then show me one group of 100 people that has had this frequency. maus was also cited for two other offenses, including obstructing a police officer.

Our society is numb to DUIs. When there are people out there still driving and free with 6, 7, and so on DUIs, this just seems like nothing. He won't be dismissed (I think), he'll get reprimanded internally, and everyone forgets and moves on. My first thought when I saw this last night, "Meh."

EDIT: http://www.kaj18.com/news/man-nearly-rolls-vehicle-into-missoula-house/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
After reading this article, he might be on his way to something more severe.

The obstructing a police officer charge doesn't help his cause.

While it may or may not be true that society is number to dui's, there are far fewer people driving while drunk and driving while very drunk than there used to be. Increases in dui arrests have come from more vigilance and enforcement, as well as the lowering of the dui limit.

Impossible, man!! :x

And I thought I was gonna hafta shell out for some moronic decoder ring.

Though, the quote did gimme a good chuckle. :thumb:

this one nearly cost someone their life. maus rolled his vehicle into someone's yard. he's lucky he's alive and luckier yet that he didn't kill someone.

I have the feeling Maus will be "dismissed" from the team the same way Trammel was "dismissed" from the Cats. He won't lose his scholarship and won't be able to partake in team functions until the criminal proceeding plays out, but when it does a decision will be made on whether he can rejoin the team or whether they will pull his scholarschip. In other words, they'll suspend him pending the results of the criminal proceeding, but they'll call it a "dismissal" like the Cats did because it plays better in the press.

Does Trammel still have his scholarship? Interesting concept of being dismissed from the team, but keeping the scholarship (at least for awhile). Dismissed does play better in the press and on the internet, but being dismissed with the possibility of being reinstated isn't really being dismissed in my book. Not big deal either way to me, i.e. on what it's called.

I was unaware he was keeping his scholarship after being kicked off. Do you have a link for this?
I assume this would be like me getting fired at work but they continue to pay me afterwards.

I wonder why there was no mention of the other "paraphernalia" that was noticed at the scene?

Maybe we need a character on this site called PoliceRep or MissoulianRep to keep this place fair and balanced? I have never seen what Florio looks like but I cant imagine anyone would want to be up a cops ass 24/7..........so I would lean towards MissoulianRep

So I take it you are a politician?

I'm skeptical that Trammell is keeping his scholarship. There has been some speculation on BN that he might be able to return if he wins the criminal case and if his teammates, speaking through their captains, then ask Ash to reinstate him. Those are pretty big "ifs." Also, football scholarships don't exactly grow on trees at this level and it makes no sense at all to kick him off the team but let him keep the scholarship.
