We really need to get back to talking about on the field subjects. It would be nice to get away from the speculation & gossip...Found this while browsing the web this morning! http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1157 ... ngs/page/7

I could NOT agree more!!! Especially since the guys are there this week for our version of OTAs. Whats the report on how voluntary summer workouts are going? How do our guys who were injured or dinged up in the spring look now? Whats the word on the new TE coach from Yale (he has NW ties!)

I would say considering all of the off-season distractions/issues/etc and looking at who lost players to graduation if I take the maroon-goggles off I'd say MSU would be the pre-season #1 team. However as last year's brawl proved, being #1 doesn't guarantee much - we'll see how it shakes out on the field.

Someone will florio it up. :thumb: As for the GRIZ, this is the 1st time in many years, I have no idea what to expect of the GRIZ. All this off season crap, has me wondering how much the team can endure? How will coaching changes impact the team? Can we overcome the loss of JJ, if that happens? I am pretty sure he will be leading our offense this season.

As for the other teams, I can see the Cats, Portland State, EWU, and Weber State contending.

No shit. Did you click on the "author's" name?

Hey I'm Shaun... A Sophomore at the University of Montana studying history and political science.
Do I have any actual journalism experience? Absolutely not, but remember this is Bleacher Report... No one on here does. I just like to pretend to know what I'm talking about when it comes to college football.
I do however have actual experience as I was on my high school football team. I was okay, but being in college now there is a reason why I follow and watch college football instead of play it.

Okay, so I'm the UM student who wrote this article. Thought I would put in my :twocents: ... The fact that you two are taking what I wrote in the 'about me' seriously just cracks me up. Obviously, I even know b/r isn't even close to a serious platform for sports news/analysis but it's all just in good fun. :thumb:

Whether the Griz deserve to be #1 right now or not (just remember 36-10), it doesn't matter. Regardless, I agree with the original point of this thread that it's time to actually talk about stuff on the field. :thumb:

The Griz do have a case to be #1 right now just based on past history and the offense (given JJ stays), but I'll be the first to admit I'm biased  ... Fair enough. :thumb:

Even with JJ staying, you lose half your offensive starters and most of your D. UM has a case for top 3 or 4, but not 1st given all that has happened. Should be an entertaining year nonetheless. :thumb:

Couldn't agree any more. As for EWU, like many FCS fans, I'm really interested to see what kind of impact Padron has this year.
