Trouble for Boise State?

hmmm, looks like Boise State might have some probs with the NCAA...according to the NY Times, investigation is being reopened. Idaho isn't done yet....

Back in the late 80's, I used to date a gal who was from Boise State. Her job was to write papers for the football team. If they needed someone like her back then, I can only imagine how bad it is now, and how bad it is at the top 10 teams.

The NCAA is reviewing the penalties assigned to their NCAA rules violation case at BSU's request. It seems that they were quite a bit more harsh than they were for other rules violators and the NCAA review committee agrees so far. How much reduction will be known when they are done with the review.

Back in the late 80's BSU had to take whatever athletes were left over after the best student athletes went to larger 1A schools. Gene Bleymaier had just started his job as AD and wanted to change that and he did. We now can attract better athletes that are better students. If they don't maintain their GPA or skip a class then the penalty is immediate. If you think Montana has never had to assist student athletes grades so they would remain eligible then you are fooling yourself.
