Perhaps the staff realizes with the shit storm around him, he can't lead. I'd be very suprised if he has the amount of support from all the team that he has here.

Jesus, do you have f***[*] diarrhea of the mouth here or what?
JJ has more than strong support amongst the team.

I think it's safe to assume that you have never been part of a team.

If true, that would be a tough sell to a potential dropdown who is looking to transfer somewhere to be the starter.
"The starting QB job here at UM is wide open, unless last year's starting QB ends up not being expelled from school. In that case, he'll be the starter for the next two years and you'll have a chance to compete for the backup job should he get injured. Oh, by the way, we are the interim coaching staff and we'd sure like to be around next year as well, however, depending on who the new athletic director is, we may or may not be around."

JJ... well he has been judged guilty by the complete sham of a honor court at UM, Engstrom sent him a farewell letter in the mail, and the last option for him is a BOR appeal. I think the BOR/Clay Christian are actually sitting on this right now mulling over their options. One hell of a lawsuit is going to ensue if they expel JJ as is, and no charges are filed. Im kinda hoping this happens as it might help clean out the trash at UM / BOR right now.
DOJ... the Missoula County DA is stonewalling them and telling them to F-off essentially atm. Im not sure what the University is doing/or not doing atm. I would even speculate that Engstrom/Aronofsky in fact called in the DOJ to investigate the city/county to take some of the heat off of them at the University. In a small yelling match a couple weeks ago Aranofsky denied this was the case to me on the phone. At least he stated he did not request the DOJ come to town.

I think don't think he needs to be charged to have violated some of the student conduct code at UM. It is a privilege to play college football. These are two separate issues entirely. The UM administration has every right to be mad at what he did and take disciplinary action on him Do you all like having UM's name drug through the mud nationally? You realize JJ was a part of this right?
I do agree there needs to be a CLEANING HOUSE from top to bottom. That is the ONLY way you know for sure things will be on track for righting the ship.

I would have hoped that would have been in the rule book?

darts wrote:The football coaches are searching for a new QB because they realize that JJ will be immersed in appeals to the Board of Regents etc. likely over the next 6 months or more. Likely, this situation causes, in the short term, 2012 to become JJ's red shirt year.
My guess, is that he will 'win' on the appeals process to the extent that the University will re-hear his expulsion case. If he is expelled again, then that's it. He's gone for good. If, on the other hand, he is found to be worthy to stay in school, then he will play the 2013 season as a Junior.
The prospect, for the short term, is that it is unlikely JJ will be playing football in the 2012 season.
