Lost Another Former Griz- Tony Ramos

Tony Ramos, one of the founding members of BV Corner at Stocks passed away last week. Tony was a great guy, who always had a smile on his face and a kind word. He played fullback for the Griz back in the late 60's and ran with the Samoan group.

RIP Tony. You were one of a kind.

Always saw him on the corner section at Stocks and later met him when I worked as a teller for First Interstate Bank while going to college. He always had something pleasant to say to me and had a great big smile.

I knew Tony for years. Great guy who will be missed! He had a tough go these last few years.

Actually Mass......whoever wrote that obit really nailed it. Tony was that rare person that put a smile on your face whenever you saw him.

Tony served me my first beer in Missoula..........The Candle.....Fall of 1963.....18 years old!

Tony, A Griz of the 60s became a Griz of the 70s, 80s, 90s, to 2012. Always looked forward to seeing you when we returned to Missoula. Grizzly athletics has lost a true friend as have we. RIP Tony, you will be missed.

I worked with Tony at the Candle. He was a great guy, and was a true friend. The last time I visited with him he had started his downward struggle. R.I.P., my friend !
