Calgary Notre Dame and Calgary Henry Wise Wood High Schools?

Don't know if it's the same deal with High School Shrine games but a couple of the big Collegiate All-Star games including the East-West Shrine game have a tradition of bringing down two players from the Canadian University ranks. If gives some of the athletes up here a chance to show what they can do. Maybe the High School games are doing the same thing, someone more familiar with this State game might be more knowledgeable. We do have some kids who can play, in the NFL draft there were four Canadians taken in the seven rounds including a lineman who played his university ball up here.

Brody McKnight, Mike Stadnyk (from my hometown), Larry Clarkson (for you older Griz fans) and Carm Carteri (for you really old Griz fans) are four metric using, socialized medicine enjoying, Canucks who have helped the Griz over the years. There are probably a few more but I am deep into the Canadian beer so that's all I can do.

Look forward to this years game. Fortunate enough to have coached two kids one from each squad. Ironic that they started their football careers together only to be playing on opposing sides to finish up their high school competition. Last year I had four who started together finish together.

So they're Canadian college kids playing in an all star game with MT high school kids? :?

No sorry, my post wasn't very clear. They are Canadian high school kids.

Brody McKnight was by far and away the biggest douche bag to ever attend the UofM....so thanks for that...hahaha

Mike makes it down to a couple games each year and we see a lot of him. Great guy and still in ++ shape; his law enforcement job up there should keep the bad guys in line; he strong like bull. Huge hands. But for the Wofford game, a very solid DE for the Griz, while Biermann got all the press. Stronger than Kroy, not quite the motor.

Wasn't Reggie Bradshaw from Canada, too?
