Griz Football and the FCS...uhh NAIA

...or at least Montana's five Frontier Conference members. Looks like a ripe plum just dropped into Commissioner Kent Paulson's lap. with FBS and FCS conferences bailing out of Fall ball the MT schools with an eight week schedule are perfectly positioned to fill the gap for a college football crazed country. The law of scant supply and major demand spells a potential bidding war from network and streaming sources for the rights to carry Montana Tech vs Carroll? Stay tuned, if Paulson plays his cards right their could be a very nice cash payoff for the little conference that can.

In the meantime, have all the other brainiacs pushing college football to Spring 2021, say May to July or August, really anticipated how to get back in sync when play should logically restart in September? Apparently nobody. Remember what your pharmacist said when you picked up your viagra - If you miss a dose don't double up. Wait until the next scheduled dose. You can Interpret this as meaning no return to Fall football until 2022.

Nice visiting the old neighborhood!

The negative hyperbole is way over the top. As posted earlier in another thread:

It doesn't have to be as bleak as you want it to be. Here's a scenario, first game Mar 27, 8 game season would not require a bye week. Final game May 15. 12 team playoff, a bye week for the seeded 4, play-in games May 22, quarterfinals May 29; semis June 5; NC game June 12. 90% of teams done by May 15; the wise coaches would use their depth. That's why there are 80-90 roster spots.

I doubt the Frontier Conference will be playing more than one or two games.

Not to mention it may actually end up being easier on the players physically doing two whole seasons in one year.
