Ty Gregorak on ESPN Roundtable

well spoken guy....and interesting .......I was in the same business as he is in now....when he says they throw a lot of stuff at you, that is correct.....there are no slackers and they do like people who know how to compete.....I believe he fits that criteria .....

TG said he had the opportunity to go to Hawaii as the DC, but he had shaken hands with Choate to go to MSU (so he honored that commitment). To those of you who didn't believe me, "Told you so".

He says that 5 or 6 Cat players made better plays to stop the Griz on the goal line, than their opponents. Mentioned Roberts. He thought the Griz would run the ball, and would run the same play "one way or another". The Cats changed their defense on the play. Says Eastwood scores on that play 9 times out of 10.

I really like listening to Colter's interviews with Ty. You can tell there's a comfort level between the two of them. Great interview, thanks for posting.

Says Hauck took over a program that "knew how to win", when Hauck came the first time.

Says one of best teams was the one that lost to Wofford, as some of you have said previously.

It was a challenge to rebuild at MSU. It was personal challenge to move from UM to MSU. Choate wanted to change the culture. He said he felt he did his best. Ione will do a great job. Cats have some good defensive players returning.

Best traits of Hauck and Choate. Both very good coaches. Know the game. They have a plan.

Hauck is now older and wiser, is his impression. Seems to have involved.

Both good guys. Both passionate. Both are more similar than one might think.

Bobby will get the team back in the playoffs.

Cats won a playoff game and then played the Green Bay Packers.

He had other football opportunities. He had been thinking of moving on for a couple years. And Choate had a plan, and TG really wasn't in the plan anymore. he coached tee ball this years. Has never seen a game at CU.

In rivalry, and for players and coaches, they doesn't necessarily love each other, but there is alot of mutual respect.

Says he is very content now. Will miss the comradery with the players.

Thinks when he's dead and gone, he will be known as great dad, probably not a great coach.

Baer recruited him to Stanford.

He talks to Shann all the time, and is close with Justin Green.

Good and interesting interview. Go Colter.

Griz player interviews are only available after practice each day, which is between 4:30 and 5. I am on ESPN Radio from 4-6 every day. Pretty hard to have much content of substance besides Coach Hauck if you don't have interviews. There is no flexibility. That is the only time players are available and assistant coaches are not available.

Andrew Houghton, who covered the Griz for us the last two years, is now working at the Idaho State Journal covering ISU. I hired someone else to replace him but that fell through as that young scribe is instead working for Montana sports information as of this week. It's been a bit of a hectic week trying to navigate that storm plus Tootell being gone on vacation, meaning we have not had the Griz content I'd like. I hope to have a solution sooner than later. Thank you for the feedback! I will continue to interview Coach Hauck and post those interviews here in podcast form either on the Big Sky Breakdown or from the archived version of Tootell and Nuanez.

Awesome remix....heard this before, but a bit different. Well, not that much different.

Just say you guys are a cat production arm and be done with it.

Well, if that ain’t a dressing down...
Pretty obvious at this point.
That said, I like reading the stuff Connor puts out unless it’s behind the paywall.

Clifton does good work for the cats. It's where his heart is. Just wish he and Bronx wouldn't pretend to be fair and balanced.

Seriously, why would any Griz fan actually pay for cat content?

No clue. I don’t know why any fan would pay for any content in 2019. Sell some ads. If you can’t do that, it might be a pretty good indicator of something.
