Pluto TV lies about hack

I’m sure several on this board used the “service.” Seems the ethics are as bad as the broadcasts.

Just wanted users on this forum to know.
Apologies if it’s already been posted.

Go Griz!

Yeah, and it's not clear how to delete your info, either. The Pluto website offers two different methods, one of which is to visit this link and ask to have your account deleted.
I got back that they didn't have an account associated with my email, which is baloney because I have emails from plutotv about my account. So, I fear that slip-shod operation doesn't have its act together enough to delete accounts. Times like this I wish I lived in California where I had a privacy law on my side. https://support.pluto.tv/hc/en-us/requests/new

Why Cali, because their cyber cops are top notch?

This conference should be ashamed of themselves.

And they would be if they cared one bit about their fans.

Because California has a law similar to GDPR. If you're a resident of CA, basically all you have to do is request a company remove your data and they are legally bound to or they can't do business there. I'm oversimplifying it, but that's basically how it works. Otherwise, I don't wish to live in CA at all. Well, maybe Santa Cruz would be cool for hiking/mountain biking. :)

Did anyone really give any info to use Pluto? I downloaded the app and it worked without entering any info. Granted, I didn't really read the article, so maybe they mined my info somehow?
