"Big Sky Figures to Remember" - Skyline Sports

We launched a new series today. We will continue adding to it pretty much always. We will have plenty of Griz as the project continues to unfold.

At Skyline Sports, we love the stories and characters that emerge from one of the most authentic conferences in the West. The Big Sky Conference is steeped in history and heroes, holding a mystique that is unique to a conference featuring as many rural yet state-funded institutions in the United States.

One of our primary goals at Skyline Sports is the archiving of history across the state of Montana and across the Big Sky. In an effort to make sure we never forget some of the most pivotal and influential figures in the 58-year history of the league, we are introducing a quick-hitting series about those who once graced the Big Sky.

We will touch on players we’ve been able to cover (particularly in photograph) during our seven years covering the league as an entity (categorized as “Skyline Era”. We will also remember players from Colter Nuanez’s first seven years covering the league (2006-2013) during his time working in newspapers and magazines (categorized as Modern Era).

And we will also chronicle memorable figures from before we covered the league professionally, before we watched the league at all or even from before we were born thanks to the help of our great friends and colleagues from across the Big Sky (categorized as “Archived Era”).

Please enjoy “Big Sky Conference figures worth remembering”

Just click on the link and bam! each has a well written article.
Only if you do Twitter. Otherwise blocked.
I don't have Twitter, and was able to directly access the story, through the links provided here on eGriz.

Nothing but tweets. No thanks.

I even posted the link right above the tweet…I post the tweet to give a visual element. On some sites, just posting the link will do the same but not Egriz.

Here’s just the link. No tweets…

Yeah, but it’s in English. I want it in Portuguese and I want it right now. I’ve earned the right to have everything for free exactly the way I want it, not like these entitled youngsters who complain about housing prices.

Edit: Hold on, I just remembered that I get very irrationally angry when people don’t speak English around me, so it’s a NO on the Portuguese. Just an English book on tape will do because I don’t feel like reading. Thanks!

This might be one of the weirdest hills I've ever seen anyone die on.

Listen up, youngblood. My generation didn’t inherit the greatest prosperity in US history, buy homes for 30k, join a union, and retire early with full pensions before ruining said prosperity for younger generations to have to navigate the unknown waters of Twitter and the like. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to IHOP for the senior discount because it makes me feel like I’ve earned something and the syrup washes away the guilt. I was given everything and I’ve spent the last 40 years ensuring that nobody after me gets anything so I can pretend the first part of this sentence isn’t true.

Wishful thinking. Still buying green bananas.

As stated before, you don't have to have twitter or even know what twitter is to click on the link in a tweet. You just click the tweet, then click the link, boom, right to Skyline Sports...

Also, I had no idea this was a challenge for anyone. But since it is, I will certainly post non populating, HTML links with all content from now on. Takes 4 seconds for me and if that means more of you read, happy to do it. So thanks for letting me know! We shall deliver in multiple ways from now on.

Also, if you make a user name on Skyline, you don't even have to subscribe and you can sign up for our twice weekly newsletter, which delivers direct links to all new content right to your inbox.

Yeah it opens for about 15 seconds, shows no link or real information, then it locks away either for membership issues, ad-blockers, or other reasons. Not up for troubleshooting it; everything else works. Links always work perfectly, beyond me why twitter is even needed....

While the world may be passing KEM up...

The Silent Generation and the Baby Boomers, upon their death, will transfer an estimated $30 to $68 trillion to adult children. This will be the largest wealth transfer in the history of mankind. What will GEN X and Millennials do with all this money?

Won't be donating it to any social media, twitter included. Hillsdale College comes to mind....
