Washington vs Idaho
Troy: Troy Highschool Field (Game was originally scheduled to be played in the Yaak, but it was determined that carving a football field out of the local forest would destroy far too many grow ops, which are essential to both the regional and State economies.
Attendance: Sold out, but a late arriving crowd as many of the crowd from Seattle spent some time marching around demanding that the area become sovereign and independent of the US. A few of the locals explained that it kind of already was and it was on to the game.
Best Food at the Tailgate: Apple stuffed baked potatoes and weed.
Washington
Strengths: Name it, they are two deep across the board.
Weaknesses: They are small at running back. A little thin on the defensive line.
Idaho
Strengths: Better than average QB, great receivers, DE, three outstanding LB’s and two very good safeties, an all-time great punter.
Weaknesses: A weak offensive line and two inexperienced safeties playing corner back.

Highlights
The first blow-out of the tournament where the two biggest factors were; one, the strength of the 10 deep Washington O-line versus how thin and inexperienced Idaho’s offensive line was. Secondly, trying to use converted safeties to cover All-American receivers is a recipe for destruction.
Tim Bush was a one man wrecking crew, recording two sacks and numerous pressures despite having to battle fresh tackles and big Willie Waldon, a late call up, who was helping out from the tight end spot. As well, Buss, McSurdy, Boomer, where all over the field as expected.
The Nguyen brothers continued a long tradition of not fumbling even though everybody assumed that they did.
Post-game interview with All-American Punter Mike Rice;
“Even if I had eligibility left, I’d never enter the Portal and transfer to Nebraska.”
