2022 Griz Soccer Thread

Pretty dominant game by the Griz even though shots and SOG were relatively close. I only remember one PSU SOG that required Xu to make a great save as most were from distance. On the other hand, UM controlled possession and had a lot of dangerous balls into the box that don't necessarily get recorded by the stat sheet.

Another good effort but Griz lose 1-0. The Griz were definitely the more dangerous team but just couldn't finish any of their chances. Really could have used Delaney Lou Schorr on all the corner opportunities. Idaho's goal in OT came off a hurried miscue from the Griz backline as they tried to push the ball forward with under 30 secs to go and instead turned the ball over in a bad spot.

I wonder if this outcome will effect whether or not some of the seniors (Larsen, Massman, Haustein, Griggs) will come back for a Covid year. Griggs didn't play much this year. It was good to see Kilpatrick back on the field one last time after her injury.

Just read the recap from GoGriz and it stated that they only lose Kilpatrick and Griggs, so that's exciting for next year.

Montana loses just two players to graduation, McKenzie Kilpatrick, who started 14 matches this season at outside back, and Jaden Griggs, who was limited to five matches and 189 minutes because of an injury.

"Sad to lose two seniors, but we're only losing two and adding a lot, so we're going to rebuild and just keep trying to get better and keep going," said Citowicki.
