Did Georgia State get Homered?

We get 20 whistles, to their 31.

We get 43 attempts at the line to their 24.

We get 28 points there to their 12.

They outscore us from the field by nine.

We so obviously have been victims of this kind of refereeing too many times to mention. At USC two years ago, where we won from the field and lost from the line. At UDub, just about every time we play there. Only early season game I can remember that was fairly called was at Cal a couple of years ago where we almost won on a last second shot.

Not sayin'. Just askin'.

Don't like it when it happens to us on the road.

Don't like it happens in our house.

No. It's a direct reflection on how they play defensively. Travis told his team to be prepared for it. They reach and slap constantly. Nothing cheap, they're just physical and hyper aggressive.

...been thinking when you play bad and win...
...thought the griz just had better athletes...
...they were only beating us with one guy...
...if it was a homer..it wasn't that obvious...

... ...

I'm not sure we had better athletes, they're extremely athletic. We do have better depth and more guys that can score.

tough to get foul calls when you have Russell Westbrook wanna be out there just jacking up every shot he can find.

Wait, who are you referring to?

Uhhh the superhero who took 24 shots. Simonds is good but good god he had no shot selection. He outright ignored open teammates and running plays. just would step back and take a shot. pretty darn tough to get foul calls when you play like he played.

vs someone like Oguine who only had 4 FG attempts but got to the line for 15 attempts.

Good God this is a bad take. He's an NBA talent that scored 30 points on 24 shots. You're searching pretty hard to find an issue with that.

Gotcha, figured as much but wanted to make sure. #12 went into hero mode late, too.

If one teams fouls more than the other then they get more fouls called on them. Looking at just the number of calls is meaningless to determining if a game was called fairly.

He did but atleast he was driving to the basket or getting players off balance. Simonds was just shooting 3's and long mid range jumpers.

I thought the majority of calls in the Ga State were justified. We were more aggressive and drew fouls. The Georgia State coach didn't seem to be outraged during the game. He was pretty composed and I respected him for that. Did they complain ex post facto?
