And somehow Kryslovic didn't work out?? You should also know that Hunter Clarke was very successful in California high school hoops.Zirg said:fanofzoo said:grizzlyjournal said:

Yeah, we have a great Aussie pipeline, but so what? I am actually shocked Travis signed on for 2! Aussies. The only 2 good Aussie-born NBA-ers went to hs in America-Ben Simmons and Kyrie Irving. Andrew Bogut is the best born-and-raised Aussie NBA-er ever and the drop-off after him is monumental. Basketball is a niche/fringe sport in Australia-a small country (by population) with half the population of California alone. Kryslovic and Ben Carter were on their Nat teams too, and both showed up in Missoula light-years behind their team-mates. I find it hard to believe Travis couldn't find better talent in his normal recruiting grounds.

Jeez, seems we can always count on Zirg to miss the point.
St. Mary's has built a powerhouse on Aussie talent: Patty Mills, Matthew Dellavedova and lately Jock Landale:

Or how about Aaron Baynes at Washington State, just now traded from Boston to Phoenix.
Or Joe Ingles and Dante Exum from Utah. Ingles always kills the Warriors from deep.
If our staff likes the talent, I'll take an Aussie any day.
