Looking at tomorrows game things look like they will be tough. Now UNM presumably should be a step down from ranked Pac12 Washington, but from looking at their players by Minutes, it looks like they are VERY veteran team. The top 8 guys by minutes are all Seniors and Juniors.
At first I was encouraged by seeing they run a 4 guard lineup thinking we wouldn't be too over matched by size. But they got some tall ass dudes listed as guards.
It looks like their starters are:
Guard-Sr. 6'5
Guard-Jr. 6'1
Guard-Jr. 6'7
Guard-Jr. 6'9
C/F-Sr./Sr. 6'10 and 6'9 (Two big guys split time).

Might be a similar game to Washington (they dont shoot 3 well) and hopefully our recent experience will help us be more effective against a lot of length. However, if we foul as much as against UDub they are shooting 72% as a team from stripe.

UNM is a tough matchup. Hopefully they are looking passed us. They own a win over Wisconsin who is usually a tough team in the Big 10.

Anyone know where to stream this?

I have subscribed to a free trial of youtube tv. Hope it works for this game. I don't see the game listed dtv now/ATT now.

Hey all,

Lobo fan here. Unfortunately, the game will not be on Youtube Tv. If you have DirecTv, it will be on 683. This is ATT Rocky Mountain (formerly Altitude). If you live outside of the footprint, you can stream it: https://themw.com/watch/?id=6110865004001

If you use a VPN, select a location outside of the Rocky Mountain region and you will be able to stream it.

As for the game, Lobos have a lot of length and appear to have experience. However, when you look more closely, the Lobos are led by a large number of transfers. These guys are still learning how to play together. The Lobos have played well in spurts and been frustrating at other times. There will be careless turnovers, plenty of chances for Montana to grab offensive rebounds. If you guys shoot well for the 3, that will bode well for you as you will get your chances. Most Lobo fans feel this has the potential to be a really good team come conference time. Until then, there will be moments of frustration.

Transfers: Jaquan Lyle* Ohio State
Vance Jackson* Connecticut
Carlton Bragg* Kansas and then Arizona State
Zane Martin* Towson
Keith McGee* JR College transfer
Corey Manigault* JR College transfer
JJ Caldwell* Texas AM
Vante Hendrix* Utah (ineligible until second semester)

Best of luck to to you guys this season, just not too much later today!

Per TV listings ROOT sports is picking this game up here in Missoula which is a nice surprise.

Thanks for stopping by and the helpful streaming info! That a lot of transfers, we have been starting 4 Freshmen so we have also been similar experiencing choppy play and lots of turnovers and shooting slumps and our post game is literally non-existent, However, our Frosh are growing fast and we have done a really solid job crashing the boards.
It sounds like you guys wont shoot us out of the gym and will give us some extra possessions via turnovers and offensive boards...And we have been shooting the 3 well so it sounds like it will probably be within 10pts in the last 4 min. But the caveat with the 3 is that to often its a shot we MUST take because we don't have a post presence and don't have guards that are strong enough or quick enough to drive the ball against a defender that might be taller and wider. So we might make 15 3's and still get crushed because we only score 4pts in the paint lol. However our main man Pridgett can get to the hoop against anyone if he's not being constantly doubled, but he plays more of a SF face up game and starts his drives from 15ft not the 3pt line.
That said guys are morphing a lot right now and don't have clear roles, even the Seniors are changing a lot as they are being asked to do a lot more...so we might score 30pts in the paint and everything I said could easily be wrong lol

It would be nice for the program to finally get a signature win, but I don’t think that’s going to happen for a few more years

Timmy should not argue but that looked like a BS call. Fortunately, justice prevailed and UNM got no points.

Mack just has to learn to move his feet and think a step ahead.

Thats what I have been saying with him, he looks fine out there athletically, gets good positioning but then when he gets the ball just way to slow to transition to offensive move and the shot is gone.

You are probably right but I am specifically talking about on D. Its why he fouls so much.
