Some unfortunate news for GRIZ signee Robby Beasely.

He reinjured his knee (I guess he had an MCL injury earlier in the season) in his return to play against his old school. I guess he was supposed to have an MRI today but I doubt we will hear any news of the results.

Hopefully it's nothing too serious and he can make a speedy recovery.

Senior Robby Beasley, the Wildcats’ leading scorer who will play at the University of Montana next season, hobbled into the Laney College gymnasium on crutches, with a brace on his right knee. He will get surgery to repair a torn meniscus and miss the rest of the season, Hansen confirmed.

My best to him for a quick 100% recovery. Fortunately, the GRIZ are loaded at guard. He will have the luxury of ample time to recover and rehab properly. What's the typical recovery time for this kind of injury, providing surgery is successful?

Meniscus tears are minor compared to almost all other knee injuries. A few months max, but most athletes are ready to start moving around in a matter of weeks. This will have zero long term implications for Beasely going forward.

Injury or not, a 3 star recruit out of Cali is something I’ll take any day of the week. Especially looking at his other offers. Extremely highly recruited like Sayeed was.

Thanks for the link. First team Bay Area is pretty impressive.
