Big Sky Transfers Part II

While there's been a bit of movement within the Big Sky and more out of it, there's also been some interesting pickups by teams other than our Griz. If you haven't been following along, here's a quick summary:
Portland State: Elijah Hardy (3.3* PG) from UW, Amari McCray (6'9", 304# C) from Pacific, and Khalid thomas (6'9" PF) from Arizona State. They also signed a 6'8" PF from Seattle U
Weber: Dontay Bassett (3* 6'9" PF) from Florida, Seikou Jawara (PG) from Loyola Marymount, and Isiah Brown (3* PG) from Northwestern
Northern Colorado: Daylen Kounz (4* SG) from Colorado and Marque English (JUCO 6'6" SF)
Northern Arizona: Malcolm Porter (SG) from Portland

While highly-touted transfers don't always pan out, a number of our BSC rivals have been busy this off-season!

Hardy didn't really play as a frosh and struggled as a soph last year, he did get a ton of steals and showed some playmaking though. McCray looks like a good shotblocker and rebounder, not much of a scorer at Pacific; if he adds some offense he's a big add, if not he's still a sold big.

Seikou wasn't great at Loyola, but brought a little shooting, only a freshman so he could develop into an impact guy pretty quickly. Isiah Brown was at Grand Canyon last year, didn't look like an impact guy but should be a solid role player for Weber.

Kountz had a fairly promising frosh season at Colorado but the numbers were pretty awful this past year as a soph, he got decent minutes both years. Hasn't shown much but certainly could flourish in the Big Sky.

Malcolm Porter seems like a fine rotation guy but not much more. Put up a somewhat inefficient 9.5 ppg in 27 mpg last year (41% from the field), adds a little rebounding for a guard, not much playmaking as a soph or junior.

Khalid Thomas and Dontay Bassett didn't really play as uperclassmen so they may not have the upside of the usual "dropdown" transfers.

Temple transfer Monty Scott is headed to Portland State, per source. Eligible immediately with one year to play.
