Does it matter if you are a grad transfer? Maybe they held his grades for a longer than normal time?

Correct, They withheld his grades and diploma. This caused the fear that we could not register and become part of a masters program in time for this fall and he would not be able to play until end of semester. From what it seems, it was intentional from NAU. But you never know the full story on these
