Great work, 24. Thank you. Much appreciated. Nothing like recruiting to stoke interest in our basketball programs.

What jumps out at me is where the recruits we lost wound up-- UCLA, Duke, Arizona, Penn State, Stanford, St. Mary's. Montana may not be Power 5 but it's a special place with a lot to offer. My first rule in life: Ask. This staff does. Good for them.

Great stuff!

Just out of curiousity why do you assume this is Anderson’s last year? I can see why he wouldn’t come back for a 6th year.

Also the roster for the 21-22 is up on GoGriz. Still very confusing to me that Anderson, Parker and Blakeney are listed as Seniors, but Parker and Anderson still have eligibility after next year but Blakeney doesn’t. COVID!

I don't think it is. I just went off the gogriz website like you did. When I did the roster for this yesterday it listed Anderson as a Senior and Parker as a Junior, so I went with it. I'll make the change for Parker, but I am of the belief that they are still juniors for eligibility purposes.

I think you may need to toggle the roster from 20-21 to 21-22 or maybe they updated it. They move everyone up a year, so for example Owens is listed as a Jr. and Whitney a Soph.

Great work as always! Thx.

My guess is they will show the roster as what everybody would technically be. For example, Anderson would've been a senior this upcoming year as would have Parker. Then if they both choose to come back the following year, they will just show up on the roster as seniors again.

Or maybe they all decided they are going to move on after they graduate from school and not take the extra year.

Ya but even Beasley and Whitney show up as Sophomores, and with them being so young there's no way they've made a decision on the additional year yet. That's why I think this is the way they're doing it.

And we will never know if any of the players are going to take that extra year until after their senior year making it very hard for recruiting and a budget nightmare for the sports department as the scholarships do not count against the scholarship limits but the ability of the school to pay for the additional scholarships may be the limiting factor. A school can opt out of NCAA ruling and not allow the seniors to return.

here is a link from the ncaa about the additional year ruling:

Verbal Commits shows Wetzel as a walk on. 4 on our roster; Jones, Kriegmont, Brown, and Wetzel...

Looks like you guys are bringing Broyce Batchan in for an unofficial soon....

He's legit. I would be super stunned by the end of his recruitment this summer he wouldn't have a bevy of Power 5 and high mid-major offers. He absolutely tore up the weird spring season here. Torrey is an absolute hotbed for D1 talent in a lot of sports. If Montana some how stayed on him until the end, I think it'd be quite a coup.
