Damn when it's laid out like that, really shitty depth in the secondary along w/no linebackers coming in (yet) and 2 Dlineman.

Look @ the derth of wideouts....has to be someone among them with speed that wants to see the field quicker and isn't afraid of hitting someone right??

Bingo, Hawkeyebowhunter. Griz need secondary and linebackers signees the most. I, personally, would like another DL as well.

McGinnis, I believe, has made the switch from WR to S. He is a good athlete (fast), could be a difference maker.

When you look at the size and the physical skills of all the OL kids Paul Petrino signed, it is pretty obvious not just the Griz but every conference team needs to load up on DL kids. Lots of them or the backers and secondary kids are going to look like the Cats when Cramsey was in Bozeangeles chasing skill kids all over the field. Can't win in the playoffs without lots of baby buffalo on the team.

No doubt the games are won in the trenches.

The Griz have 15 DL, that's just 1 short of having 4 four deep at every position. So they are looking good there and is why I said I would like to see 1 more.

2 or 3 cbs. I am guessing 1 or 2 dropdowns.
1 safety, 2 LBS, 1 DT, 1 DE.

Looks like we are alright depth wise offensively going into the late recruiting period.

swagger. players that know they are going to win. don't back down to anybody. montana tough. dominance. lunch pail guys with good motors. thick, straight-ahead guys. with swagger.

What does UM need to recruit for? In a word - Speed.

Watch UNDSU & UJMU @ the National Championship game. Their defenses & special teams cover/close quickly & only some of that is coaching.

guys that will run the ball down their throats, play a full 60 minutes, give 110 percent every play, who take care of the football, leave it all on the field and are deceptively quick.

And 4.0 students too, with a 1600 SAT score. Don't go out and have fun...ever, just study for school and football.

I think as others have said you can see some concern at CB, S, and LB:

I was told by a coach that the younger LB's (I think especially Matthews) could actually challenge for starting spots, they're that good. However it still shows that these positions need to get some young guys in to develop and build and be ready in the next 2-3 years.

The good side on corner is that the main 4 guys of Nash, Egbo, Cowans, and Crow are here for 3 years. So while depth is needed for when that giant group graduates, the need to fill in the 2-deep isn't as pressing.

Safety loses just one guy this season in Epperly. With not only Robby Hauck but also rumored to be Jerrin Williams coming in too... that position looks a little better.

However these spots need immediate attention too

O-Tackle - We're replacing two tackles due to graduation and will have presumably Beaver and Jackson step up. Behind them I honestly have no clue if any of these guys are tackle material or ready to step up for the job if Beaver or Jackson get hurt or don't pan out.

Tight End - Bingham is the only experienced guy. I'm told Nagler might be a convert and they've got some RS'ing guys who could compete... but there's really no good experience behind Bingham. Bingham's been dinged up in both seasons too...

Punter - Williams is a senior. Bobby needs to at least get a walk-on to red shirt this season.

Kicker - Both Purdy and Semenza are juniors. It would be good to start grooming a walk-on this season so he can work with Brandon and Tim for 2 years and be ready for the job in 2019.

DT - I like our DT corps as they are but we've got 3 seniors in this group. Come next season we'll have just 3 guys left, if I'm counting that correctly.
