2015-16 Non-Conference Basketball Schedule?

Post by dudebrobra » Fri May 08, 2015 8:32 am

This looks promising if this tweet is true from Walter Wright:

Kansas? Gonzaga? Washington? Boise State?

Kansas released their non conference schedule yesterday: http://kuathletics.com/news/2015/5/7/MB ... 55245.aspx

Sat, Dec 19: Montana @ Kansas

Certainly is good to see Montana discussed in the article with Kansas, a national basketball powerhouse.

I would imagine their deal was a home and home. But I don't know if there is anything concrete yet. Our schedules always seem to be shrouded in mystery for whatever reason.

The Bison will host Montana on Wednesday, Nov. 25. The Grizzlies were Big Sky Conference regular season co-champions last season.

Blogging the Bracket is now sourcing this thread and saying that Montana will be among the 4 in the mainland Battle 4 Atlantis bracket & will play at Gonzaga and Washington

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi will also be a part of the mainland bracket: http://www.texassports.com/news/2015/5/ ... ath=mbball

Coach DeCuire devulges a little about the schedule at the 14 min mark in this podcast from today:

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/nwsportsra ... m-basnight

Coach DeCuire thinks the schedule may be too tough, expects it to be a top 20 non-conference schedule

@ Kansas
@ Washington (mid December, probably Dec. 12)
@ Gonzaga
Boise State (at home)
@ North Dakota State

The dates for the Gonzaga & Washington games rules out the Griz as a part of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament

GREAT find, thanks for sharing. I loved that interview. Good to hear this interview. Sounds like Walter Wright will be heavily relied on. Breunig working on his mid range game in the off season. Good to hear Gfeller is working on creating for himself and teammates. Ironic, who posted at the end of the season these are the things each needed to work on in the off season? Would have liked to have heard more information on the other players.
Thank you all. God Bless every soldier fighting for our country!!!!

Coach Decuire stated he expected Boehning will be in the mix to either start or be one of the top seven or eight players. He also referred to Dejong as being 6'7" or 6'8". He sounded very upbeat about Oguine and his potential to contribute early in his career.

Great find anytime of the year. The interviewer was damn respectful to Coach DeCuire and the program. :thumb:
