Blaming Obama ...

Griznationalist

Well-known member
... for the mess Obama inherited, after 8 years of George Bush in the White House, when Republicans controlled both houses of Congress in 6 of Bush's 8 years in the White House ...

Well, I think we can all see how much sense that makes.

Makes about as much sense as blaming Bush for what he inherited.

But that is history and now Hussein Obama is spending like there is no tomorrow and spending like that will ensure it.

A truly great (or probably even an mediocre POTUS) would be dealing with this and standing up to his Scumbag part members, especially since he ran on "Change"

Looks like more of the same old Bull-Shite with a heavy second helping of Socialism/Fascism.

So true.

A real leader would quit spending, let the banks and auto companies fail knowing full well that new banks and auto companies would fill the void in the free market.

I don't blame Bush for inheriting a balanced budget. I blame Clinton for that.

Quit spending like Hoover did while the US sunk into the great depression?

I'd prefer another New Deal that slowly worked us out, rather than inaction got us deeper in.

Most people agree that the new deal prolonged the depression.

The sooner people realize that government isn't the answer the better off we will be....if it isn't too late already.

Our government puts so many rules and regulations on AMERICAN companies, they tax the fu*k out of them and along with the unions make our businesses move their business out of our country.

No administration should be blamed for problems that they inherited. It's not fair to blame Bush for the recession of 2001 (because we all know the economy was starting to tank during Clinton's final months in office as well), and it's not fair to blame Obama for the economy's current state either.

However -- I do blame Bush for decisions he made that I disagree with (which were numerous).

And I will also blame Obama for decisions that he makes that I disagree with. On this latter point -- I haven't had a chance to give his budget a close read yet, but based on my cursory read -- the tax provisions that are being proposed scare the hell out of me. I'll have more comments when the proposals get fleshed out in a little more detail by the administration, but it appears that they are going to propose substantially repealing the deferral regime for U.S. businesses that own foreign subs, which would kill most large U.S. companies. We shall see...

i might have posted this before but... i had a long talk with an economist the other day, and he said that he knew of no respected economist who thinks that what obama is doing is wrong, and that those who "claim" to know economics and are bashing this administrations actions are almost never really economists, but rather bankers who are trying to protect their own money.

this guy is a staunch republican.

  WTF?

Argyle....I know it's tough for you to be straight forward with your responses, but please....stop, you are killing me.

You are making that up or that guy's wife has been slipping him Peyote.

WTF do you think I ahve been pointing out for months...did you just take me off ignore?

Put me back on - please.

Fascist movements oppose any ideology or political system that gives direct political power to people as individuals rather than as a collective nation or race (democracy, individualism, liberalism); that is deemed detrimental to national identity and unity (internationalism, communism, class conflict, laissez-faire capitalism); that protects and enhances the power of the "weak" and the degenerate rather than promoting the power of the "strong" (egalitarianism); that may oppose major changes to institutions and cultural values that it proposes (conservatism) and that undermine the military strength and military ambitions of the nation (pacifism).

+

Socialism refers to a broad set of economic theories of social organization advocating public or state ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods, and a society characterized by equal opportunities for all individuals, with a fair or egalitarian method of compensation.

????????????????????????????????

This a logical fallacy, the two are naturally at odds.

Back to the white noise with you!

The Cato institute is a libertarian think tank - they have an ideological axe to grind and hardly represent an unbiased view of economics.

Good luck hank. I tried to pointing out the same thing about sociofascim to Downwiththeplayerbackingspysck a few weeks ago and even linked the same wiki article.

Well where does that put Amy Goodman on the food chain of ideology.
