I agree but the only difference I see on the horizon is that after this latest $hit show with the Pac12 what's left outside of the new power 4 needs a re-classification that may be inclusive of some willing FCS schools and not requiring a "move up" and a fee. Not saying that will happen but it would certainly make sense if they kept an independent playoff format in place... seems like an equatable way of engaging more teams and keeping the portal under control... just a thought...
