Holy smokes. Sac St only played 6 players normally. 5 of those 6 won't be back (one due to graduation). They had a really talented group of freshman who saw tons of mins. Must be some culture issues there. Northern Colorado has quite an exodus as well, as does Weber State.https:www.thenexthoops.com/features/2023-24-transfer-portal-tracker-ncaa-womens-basketball/#BigSky
The site above is an interesting take and update on portal transfers.
Any chance she comers to Montana?Massive loss for Sacramento State as the Big Sky FOY hits the portal:
About as much of a chance for she to accept an invite for a visitation to the Campus & checking out the facilities, etc., if such an invite extended. Be a great addition, though.Any chance she comes to Montana?
Any idea why? Given her rise up the depth chart, i thought it would be her sister looking to go. Must have opened some eyes with her play and someone reached out to her. Guess she will not be playing against NDSUMacy Huard has her best game as a LG against a quality MWC team, and then exits the program via the portal.
What a weird world we live in.
Hannah's sister was Director of Basketball Operations at UM last season. She mysteriously disappeared from that role without explanation. I suspect that may color Hannah's consideration of a transfer to UM.Hannah Simental from No Colorado enters the portal.
If I remember correctly, the sister had an opportunity to return to Oregon which was something she wanted. I don't think we would pursue Hannah anyway though. I have a feeling the staff are going to be hitting the transfer portal with some serious focus.Hannah's sister was Director of Basketball Operations at UM last season. Brutal: Portland State, Sacramento State, Idaho, Eastern Washington, and Northern Colorado (unless Byrnie returns) all lose their top returning scorers. A lot of the Big Sky may be in rebuilding mode. So far Idaho State, Montana State, and NAU seem to be in good positions.Portal has made the BSC a farm league. I fucking hate it.
