It's too bad that the people at CBSSports.com gave it a rel=nofollow in the link. That would've been a hell of a nice backlink for egriz (google pagerank 9 site linking to egriz).
Usually you only add the rel=nofollow on links that have absolutely nothing to do with the content (like links in the comment section in a blog). They shouldn't have added the nofollow since the link to eGriz is relevant to the content of their article.
Still very cool though it's in the CBS College Football Blog. Maybe we'll see some Griz fans pop up on here who weren't aware of eGriz yet.

eGriz isn't that much different than other sports message boards in terms of type of members that post here. All message boards have a fair amount of trolls. Show me a message board that doesn't, and I'll show you a message board that has no activity.
As much as we dislike trolls, they serve a useful purpose. Controversial posts generate interest, replies and keep people coming back to a message board. A message board that has no controversial topics to discuss is a very boring message board and will die out fairly quickly. I've seen it happen before to a fairly large and popular message board
Of course a message board that has too many trolls can run into trouble too if the trolls chase too many regular posters away.
Even though it seems like we have a lot of trolls, there are much more regular posters on here than trolls. We have a pretty good balance I think... Trolls are always very vocal, so sometimes it seems like there are more of them than there actually are
