Chase Reynolds :!:

The Big Sky Conference has selected its football players of the week for games played on Saturday, Nov. 13. Montana running back Chase Reynolds is the offensive player of the week. Sacramento State defensive end Zack Nash is the defensive player of the week. Eastern Washington returner Jesse Hoffman and Northern Colorado returner Dominic Gunn are the co-special teams players of the week.

Reynolds, a 6-foot, 195-pound senior from Drummond, Mont., rushed for a season-high 173 yards, scored three touchdowns and finished with 212 all-purpose yards in Montana’s 27-17 victory over North Dakota. Reynolds averaged 6.3 yards per carry, caught four passes for 39 yards, and scored on runs of 14, 12 and 4 yards. His 12-yard run put UM up 20-17 with 9:49 to play in the third quarter. His 4-yard run sealed the game with 5:21 to play. Reynolds broke the school’s all-time rushing touchdown record with his second touchdown. Reynolds has 51 career rushing touchdowns and 58 career total touchdowns, which ranks third in Big Sky history. This is the fourth player of the week honor in his career.

The Yearbook has Yohance Humphery career rushing @ 4,070. After last week Chance Reynolds now stands @ 3,887 yds for his career (3,085 + 802). The 3,085 is what the Yearbook has for career yards before the beginning of the season. The 802 net yds is what is stated on montanagrizzlies.com Hence, 4,070 - 3,887 = 183 needed to tie. Maybe this weekend?

The 16 Novenber 2010 Billings Gazette, page C-5 has it @ 154 yds to tie. That assessment seems as accurate as their previous paragraph sentence:.."His (Reynolds) four-year run in the fourth quarter..." That must've been one long game to have an at least a four-year fourth quarter!!! I guess one could prorate it somewhat and have a time-out lasting five months.
