ESPN at it again...

Time again for Griz fans to step up to the plate and lead the way against this total disrespect of FCS by ESPN. Get on Facebook and like the page above and share it. Send some emails, tweets, or whatever to anyone one in any FCS university who can help out. Send some emails/texts to ESPN, our Senators and Representative. One day ESPN just might figure out there is more to "college football" than FBS...

In the West for example, our rural nature dictates that a large number of Griz/Cat fans cannot access ESPN3 online because their ISP doesn't carry it. We went through this two years ago. It is time for this crap to end. NDSU has supported our grassroots effort to get ESPN to allow local/regional stations to carry the first two rounds of playoffs. By NCAA rules ESPN has TV rights but if they do not choose to exercise those rights then local/regional can broadcast those games. And, by the way, ESPN3 is not TV but is internet streaming video and does not qualify under the NCAA broadcast guidelines... different set of rules altogether.... Come on eGrizers... time to step up to the plate...

Is it more profitable for ESPN to sell the rights to like Max Media or Root Sports than to air the game exclusively on ESPN 3?

Bought myself a $35 Chrome Cast last night to watch the playoffs. With Optimum internet works great, took about 15 minutes to get it all figured out, and great picture casting from a lap top. Only downer with ESPN3 is it opens in a different window, so you you to copy the link back into the original window you opened to be able to cast. Not sure if it will work with a smart phone or IPAD, you have to use google chrome and have the cast icon

Also, XBox 360 & XBox One stream ESPN 3 via the ESPN app if you have Optimum/Charter/Bresnan.

That's the crappy part. If you have Dish or DirecTV, the Watch ESPN app doesn't work on any devices and you're left running it through a laptop or sitting at your desk watching.

Since it is widely assumed as given, UM will play Bethune Cookman and move on to play North Dakota State, which, it seems, will dominate UM and win, so the next game in Missoula will be the last of the Griz at home until next year which will open also with a loss to NDSU. This is the way all of the media sees it that has any interest at all. It would be great to see UM dominate BC and win yet another close one in Fargo, and return to Missoula, or Cheney, or Flagstaff for a semi....then, second rate tv would 't matter.

Yeah, the system isn't perfect... I am just thankful that it works for me!

go to the game!!! you have a full two weeks to make plans :thumb:
I'm like the Bethune C. gang...too damn cold up there..but, having lived a year in Orangeburg, SC, if they bring their band and fans, Missoula is in for quite a show...I went to a South Carolina State v. Bethune C. game and it was loud, fun, vulgar, and good...very fast players but in that part of the country, the big schools get the best followed by the larger and wealthier religious schools...UM should handle BC or CC easily....but that is why they play the game. Right now, it is 27 degrees down there....icy....noise or cold will not bother these kids as much as you think..Though, they are from Florida...noise is now in every stadium, or nearly so..

I will definitely be at the game on Dec. 7. I mean, where else would we go?? And, I would love to go to Fargo for that game, assuming it happens, but I have doubts my spouse would consider it. Also, what IF S. Carolina St./Furman could pull off the big upset over NDSU, and that winner could come here? Stranger things have happened. I keep wishin' and a-hopin'.

That's what sucks about espn3. It doesn't work on ipads or phones. If they don't care about the damn games then they should let local stations pick them up so the true supporters of FCS football can watch.

Totally agree. We had this same issue two years ago, and won out, but only thanks to help from people like our Congressional representatives.

F**K ESPN!!!! Seriously, not all of us can make it back to another game and I for one have to work til 1500 hours on Sat so my only option to watch is on internet or cable TV at work. Now the only way I can follow the game is on the radio unless ESPN d-bags block that too. F**K YOU ESPN, a lot of your programming is becoming crap anyway so I hardly ever watch anyway but you are making it difficult for us Montanans to watch FCS playoffs. I hope Fox Sports 1 kicks your sorry asses in sports networking.

GrizLA, The only way UM could play EWU or NAU is in Frisco, TX should any of them be fortunate enough to make a deep playoff run since UM is seeded #8 while EWU is #3 meaning they are on different sides of the bracket.

And there is a possibility (although slim) that a team like Sam Houston could upset the ranked teams in their bracket and give the Griz a home Semi-final game if they could knock off the Bison. Grant it, I am not saying the Griz (or Bison) are a given to make it past their first match-ups. They should but this is why they play the game and the Griz could win out or lose but either way I will support them.

Also, way to be optimistic about the Griz playing NDSU if they both win their first playoff game and to open next season. Guess you don't even need to watch those games and if you do hope the Griz prove you wrong because NDSU is good but much like EWU they can be beaten on any given Saturday, especially against the Griz if they bring their A game in all three phases.

They need to get this petition on Change.org so those of us who do not like Facebook can sign it.

Only one thing wrong with your prognosticating...EWU & NAU are on the other side of the bracket so if pigs do fly and we do make it past NDSU, the earliest we'd see EWU or NAU would be in Frisco :thumb:

Yes it does. Download the "WatchESPN" app. Works like a charm on my ipad.

Only if you get your cable through one of the supported providers. Dish and directv customers are SOL

It works for live broadcast? I've got the app and called Charter earlier this season, for a sign in and password, and they said it didn't work on anything but computers. Perfect.
