Transfer to LG

I heard today that Kristen Tilleman from Oregon State is going to be transferring. She is from Bozeman so it makes sense, but I am wondering if anyone has heard anything of the sort. Do the LG have any schollies available after there phenomenal signing class?

I suppose I should have said she will be transferring to the U of M. I will look into it but I would be willing to say my source is as good as a source can be without being on the coaching staff. But then again, a coach can't comment on a transfer, correct?

Look for this to happen next year, not this year. Tilleman will stay in school at Oregon State while she sits out the year, then transfer and play 2 years at Montana

"The Bozeman, Mont., native was OSU's leading rebounder and third leading scorer, starting all 31 games for the Beavers last season. Tilleman will finish up the spring academic term at Oregon State and plans to transfer at the end of the term."

I don't really care what the newsiepaper said, I know what SHE said. She would LIKE to stay at OSU one more year for academics, then transfer, care to wager some $$$?

Isn't OSU on quarters? If that is the case it would silly of her to stay at OSU because credits transfer differently than they do if it was a semester school, and she will probably lose some when she does. Thus, it would be better to do it sooner than later in my opinion. GB1, I don't doubt your info, but perhaps she has been counseled on this and has figured it out. Who knows.

Sounds like a good player, glad to eventually have her. (leading rebounder on a Pac 10 team) Hope she turns out to be a Lady Griz great.

I heard that UM recently hired her cousin from Havre. This I think is Mike Tilleman's daughter who recently received a PhD - not sure of the area. Nice to have two Tillemans on campus.

She visited last weekend. She might sit out a year while she finishes her forestry degree at Oregon State. She could then transfer to another school and do a forestry masters degree. She could also stay at OSU. She is a bright kid with options aplenty. She is not related to the Havre
Tillemans.

The Oregon State woman's coach LaVonda Wagner is taking a huge amount of heat right now for the way she is running the program. I will be surprised if she lasts the month. If they do replace her I think that could add a whole new element into the mix. It would not surprise me if Tilleman sat out the year at OSU and then rejoin the team in 2011-12 if the coach is replaced and she likes the new staff.

Wagner seems to from the same coaching tree as ex Montana State coach Potera

Kirsten Tilleman has committed to and will be playing for Cal State Santa Barbara.

Selvig certainly coul dhave used her, but if she isn't going to be a LG, then this is the best possible outcome..sorry mslacat, can't pull for her going to Bozone. :thumb:

Tillman is an excellent player but why would she choose Montana over Santa Barbara? SB is a beautiful campus and the weather is great. It has one of the best views in the country. By sitting out a year, she will be even better when she returns to the court.

Beautiful campus with warm climate or beautiful campus with better basketball team that is close to home. Either way, it's not a no-brainer.
