Are new Griz in town at UM Camp?

Anyone have any news on the Griz team scrimmages at the summer camp which ends today? I have a son at camp but haven't been there in the evenings to see if the Griz have scrimmaged as they have in past. Has anyone seen the scrimmages? Any news out there?

I stopped down to the UM campus a couple times and watched the Griz play pick up ball this week. As far as I could tell everyone there. To be honest there were two players I assumed were Wood and Iasisi but I do not know their faces very well yet. There also two other guy's playing with them a guy who looked like Micheal Taylor and another 6-8 ish guy (who I thought was Selvig when I first saw him). They looked young but I was not sure if they were college age (freshman) or campers.

A few notes: both Selvig and Qvale were there both days but did not play ball. They did not appear to injured but hung out on the side lines.

Weisner was draining three pointers from NBA range, and did not miss. On the other hand I saw Jamar take three attempts from about 18 feet and beyond and they were all air balls.

Thanks for update, I was wondering the same. This time of year is when I would take in scrimmages every every evening, but being in Denver,I no longer have that luxury. I hope Weisner can play SF, and we do not mess with converting him inside offensively.

Could you give us the days/times the Griz practice? Also, which gym are they in. Thanks!!

Remember it is not practice! It is just time when the Griz players just happen to get together every day to play a little pick up ball while they are all in Missoula to take a few summer classes. No coaches watching or organized instruction, because if there were the NCAA would would get their panties in a bundle. Just some pick up basketball being played by college student, it is not a practice!

Typically they will have their play ball in the field house floor or the Aux Gym on the upper level, depending on what is going on that day. If you go into the field house and go to the south stairs down to the floor (across from the booster office) their should be the arena schedule (who has the floor reserved at what time) on a given day. The time reserved do change sometimes so just because they have irt reserved for 3:00 one day does not necessarily mean that they will have it the next, so pay attention. If the field house and upper gym are booked out they may be somewhere else on campus. Sometimes not all of the players make it on some days and other you could get former players, high schoolers, and even friends of friends show up, so keep that in mind.
