What's lost in that tremendous comeback and remarkable performance by AJ is just how good Bob Valvano is as the analyst in that game. In the first half, Franklin Session had gone 0-4 at the FT line (thank you!). On his 5th attempt, he used the glass to, quite literally, knock it down. Valvano's comment is classic: "Oh my word! He banked it in! Well, I guess any port in a storm".
A few minutes later, with the Griz offense struggling mightily, he said, "Right now it's Anthony Johnson against the world". How prophetic was did that turn out to be?
